ok mega advice needed here ..
I really want to be a physics major at uni but I’m afraid I’ll end up hating it and i literally can’t see myself studying anything else..
I’m not afraid of numbers anymore and actually have begun to study some of the fundamentals of calculus in my spare-time , but I’m in no way a mathematical savant. I was always a B grade math student… it’s only recently I’ve started seeing numbers everywhere, lol.
I want to do research on dark matter or teach high school physics when I’m freed, btw. I know I’m not the next Feynman or whatever, I want to do it because it’s simply knowledge I have chased after since I was a kid, and taking part in research that may change our ideas of the universe, even if it’s just the slightest push or even teaching others about physics, would make my life worth living. #lame
So my question is this: is studying physics worth it? do you have to be a “genius” to get a good degree? should i even pursue it? Or try my luck in another major..
help pleaaaase!!! Im so confused
