Struggling with motivation has been REAL! I’m realizing that my racer’s tummy and my delays in training have pushed the half marathon out of my reach, so I’m pivoting to a 10k. I’m happy that I’m able to adjust my goals for my body’s safety and to have reasonable expectations for myself, but I’m sad that a big goal has gone out of reach in the original timeline.

So, when a virtual challenge surrounding my favorite painter came across my feed, I immediately signed up. So, the goal is to accomplish 56.13 miles in 56 days. I’m planning to start using the walking pad again and to continue with my 2 mile jogs a couple times a week and a long jog.

I finished the 60XT Challenge!! Here are my key wins from the 60XT:

-I ran my first 10k and started FanFicFitness

-I lost 5% body fat

-I lost 7 inches around my abdomen and 3 inches around my waist. My booty game is still going strong 😂😂

I took my first yoga class in a while today and boy did I need it! I also hit a milestone of officially down over 20lbs in my weight loss! 🎉🎉

It’s been nice feeling stronger and feeling like more moves in my workout classes are accessible in my body, which is really what my whole journey is for! To live my best life and enjoy fitness again.

I’m planning on trying to incorporate monthly body scans into my tracking since there is a common reality that losing weight tends to be from losing muscle mass instead of fat. So I’m hoping by tracking this in addition to my diet and exercise I’ll be able to course correct as needed. We got this!!

For the first time in a while, I’ve felt confident enough to paint my nails. This might not seem like much to anyone else but I’m really proud of myself for getting to this point. I normally tell people that I don’t like getting my nails painted or that getting nails done is a waste of time but I genuinely enjoy the colors and it’s my favorite way of expressing myself. It just felt too feminine and I’m already not passing well. I know that this isn’t much to most people and I know that most people won’t understand but this is a huge step for me.

I was in a darkest abyss yet Personal Progress helped me to stand and strive to go back to the covenant path and stay.

I was tested with the tribulations that God gave to me, tested with the poor decisions that I wish I didn’t chose. It weakened my desire to finish this Personal Progress but as days passed by, it helped me know my worth, my value as a daughter of our Heavenly Father and that I am NOT just an ordinary human being. Knowing this truth guided me to never settle for less than a temple marriage and accomplishing personal progress is one of them.

I realized that I am not alone. Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for me to be happy and that He will be sad if I won’t be happy. Yes, He Lives! My Savior Lives!

I learned a lot of doctrines and principles yet there are more to learn. Personal Progress really strengthened me in both temporal and spiritual ways.

With or without medallion I strive for progress. Doing a little better every day can make us the best versions of ourselves in the future. ❤️

To all of my young women leaders, co-young women, friends and family specially my parents, I thank YOU for being such an inspiration. Mahal ko po kayo (char 😂)

All of those sweats and tears are worth it.

I think that you can see from the look on my face that in January I had no clue what the outcome is going to be. And this all began with a simple decision, to start competing. Since I’ve taken this decision everything has started to change. I’ve started tracking my macros, I’ve started optimizing my diet to my caloric needs (cutting/maintenance/bulking), I’ve been more consistent with my meals and I’ve drastically reduced unnecessary calories like sweets, alcohol, fried foods (even though I wasn’t consuming a lot even before this, but tracking macros made me a lot more aware).

Then at my first contest I’ve seen what I needed to improve on. Which at that time it was the Abs and Obliques. So I started to make changes to my training routine. And I was amazed to see how much better I was recovering from my workouts simply because NOW my Diet was on point with my Training. Then I started to see changes. In 2 months I went back to almost the same weight as I had in January, but with a much better body composition (in my opinion).

After almost 3 months of lean bulking I started prepping for the National Championship in September. And now I had a different approach to get to that competition form. More time, less hunger. So, I was surprised to see that already at @75KG I was looking leaner than I was in March @74KG. For me this was proof that what I’ve done was definitely working.

After 4 Months of prep I can say that I reached my best form EVER! Now, I’m just curious about what next year’s evolution will look like.

Friday Check In

This week flew by! I can’t believe it’s already Friday! This week was a million times better than last week. Much more chill. Monday was a crazy day at work so I missed the gym, but I made it every other day. Today was leg day!

I’m excited for this weekend and spending time with friends.
