neuropathy sufferings and solutions
it’s actually quite easy to reverse type 2 diabetes using the three steps explained here…
I’m frustrated with a disability thing and I want to hear other experiences.
So my limbs are going asleep really quickly rn, like if I straighten my arms they go to sleep (so carrying anything? Bent arms. Way way more exhausting but oh well) if I lean forward my legs go to sleep, if I sit too long my entire lower body including genitalia goes to sleep, if I want to have fun and get hit? You guessed it! My limbs go to sleep. Stretching? Exercising? Resting? Grocery shopping? Limbs asleep. Like. There’s not really anything where my limbs don’t fall asleep.
But if I decide to ignore it and precede as I thought I would, I get injured, I drop something heavy, I step on my foot bad, I fall etc etc.
I’ve been trying nerve flossing but it kind of makes it worse or only lasts very short. Idk what to do.
And even tho it’s normal for me that limbs go to sleep, it’s kind of alarming when it’s in response to getting hit? Like. You don’t. Want the effects of getting hit to be “I can’t feel my hands / feet” esp when you’re not even going that hard.

i was told i spend too much time explaining, describing and getting the phrasing just right. switching out words, moving sentences around, changing the structure until i’ve eloquently expressed exactly what i want to say.
i’ve been silently freaking out for about a month now, since finding out my nerve damage is much more extensive than initially thought. and it seems to be progressive. whatever it is that is taking my body from me, please,
i’m begging you. take anything and everything you want. take my legs. my arms. my breathing, even. take away the control of my bladder and bowels. take my sight. take whatever you want, but please. let me still have my words. when there’s nothing left to take but them and my life, pick the latter. my words has been my most trusted companion since i learned how to speak, it’s my first and main chosen art form, it’s my lifeline. if i lose my words, the only thing differentiating me from a corpse is a heartbeat. so please, spare me. take my life before you take my words.
let me have that at least.
until i know for sure my words will remain safely in my chest, and won’t ever fade or be ripped from my stiff and aching hands, i will keep using them. i will not cut it short. i will not take my words for granted.

Image descriptions: the first 4 photos are of me with a green wig and a black hat. The first two I am standing up with my cane, and the next two I am sitting down on a chair. The last two pictures are of me without a wig and hat, proudly showing my shaved head. On the first I am sitting down, and on the last picture I am standing up with my cane. On all six pictures I am wearing a goth look and goth makeup with green accents that matches my green and black wig.

Had to stop using my heating pad, because I gave myself a minor burn on my stomach…
Nothing major, but damn…
I didn’t FEEL it until I went to rub my stomach and skin slid off.
Whelp..

Gabapentin was never marketed as a miracle drug, but it has often been treated like one. Prescribed for nerve pain, off-label for anxiety, and routinely for sleep, it became a go-to solution when clinicians wanted something that wasn’t an opioid. For many patients, it worked—until it didn’t. And when gabapentin stops…

Today I have no motivation but I know that it’s for the best. My pain level is orange (I use colours based on the diagram below made by reesesendojourney on Instagram)
ALTThis image shows different medical pumps that are used to give me my chemotherapy treatment.
ALTThis image shows a pain scale that goes by different colours: green, yellow, orange, red and dark red.
Green: My symptoms are at their most manageable, I am the most able and mobile I can be, I have energy to spare
Yellow: My symptoms are starting to worsen and I need more support, I will take it easy to avoid getting worse
Orange: My symptoms and needs are taking up most of my attention, I have more limited mobility and need to rest
Red: My symptoms are flaring badly and need all attention, I need support and the only thing I can do is rest
Dark red: My symptoms are at their worst or new, I have nearly no mobility and may possibly need medical attention
Gonna start documenting my life with chronic pain and cancer since it helps get things out. I won’t go into too much detail ofc
Got my cane today! Very happy about it and I’m sure it’ll help me when I get bad neuropathy due to cancer treatments.

The cane in question (it’s pink!!!)
Having horrible foot pain, where after a couple hours everything is being stabbed and on fire, working 11 hour shifts on my feet, normally 4 days, it takes all 3 off days, legs raised, to get rid of the constant pain. Now they have overtime, meaning 5 days and only 2 to recover and i just cant. Im tired of having to sleep in my car because i cant walk into my house. I dont want to live like this
The weather outside sucks, it’s snowing and I am not built for that because I am from the southern part of the United States of America (which also succ rn)
I’ve had a headache for the past week and a half that Tylenol and ibuprofen and aspirin and caffeine are not touching. Even closing my eyes doing voice to text, so ignore any weird grammar issues because it hurts to look at my fucking phone, is not helping.
And I keep breaking blood vessels in my eyeballs which is very very fun, I have not had a migraine this bad in like a year and a half.
Anyway, shout out to the chronically ill bitches that are just absolutely being wrecked by the concept of winter right now
