I saw my crush today.
It was on accident on her part but it was still nice and funny.
Maybe I will see her in a few days.
I really like her.
Ughhhh.
Let the yearning still commence.

i was thinking of putting a link to my blog on my ig bio but looks like a few more people were lurking than usual so nahhhh.
the hawkbit acorn speedwell trio is so fascinating to me why are they just. Like This. they’re like team rocket except they’re not even cool they just cause problems for everyone in hopes that they’ll come out on top somehow!!
I picked up my Pokémon Black save file the other day and damn, I forgot how good of a character N was.
Not sure if it’s a hot take or not, but I think gen 5 was underappreciated and imo N is the best written character in the entire series. Replaying the game as an adult made me notice so many little details that made him even cooler in my eyes. He’s just so unique in every aspect. His personality, his backstory, his involvement with the plot, his relation to the region’s villainous team, even the Pokémon he uses and how they’re different almost every time and you don’t really know what to expect. And the character development he goes through. He’s awesome. Game Freak never did it again, and it makes me a bit sad.
No other rival made me feel what N made me feel. I guess Volo was close-ish, but it was a different “flavour”, and I think he wouldn’t work nearly half as well if I wasn’t already familiar with Cynthia. Because if I didn’t brush off his… Eccentricities as “aw, so Cynthia must’ve gotten it from her great-great-however-many-times-great-grandpa, haha!” then I would’ve been suspicious of him around ⅓ through the game.
Still, I think that both work so well because both are, in a way, a “mirror” of the player. Them not being children like most other rivals also helps, tbh.
Damn, I need a Legends game set in Unova so bad. I’d definitely prefer it to be set in the past because I want to see the original dragon, but honestly, if I get to see GILF N with greying hair and a beard, I wouldn’t mind a Legends Unova game set in the future either…

There’s a trope I see a lot in feel good films in particular musicals, where randomly in the last few moments of the piece the character who had done a number of crappy things throughout the narrative and who had caused the main character a lot of grief and strife gives a tearful apology and now everyone is forgiven no questions asked. Like I know it’s feel good and it’s supposed to wrap up the story in a nice little bow but real redemption arcs don’t work like this and they take a lot of effort, particularly for the person who is being redeemed. You can’t just say “I am so sorry that I did all of these messed up things to you but let’s just sing a song about it and forget” because stuff doesn’t really work like that. I know it’s not a big deal and there are narrative reasons for why this thing exists, but it’s still a trope that annoys me a bit
Snowed in so bad the entire town is closed down including all highways in and out.
The goal is to have a good time, make the best of what you have right now, never forget to savor the sweetness in life
