You can call me a bit Pavlovian in design, but in order to improve; I’ve been studying my patterns and behaviors with the intention of cognitively interrupting those old patterns which no longer serve me or have proven maladaptive to my ability to be productive. And since I know myself well, I have learned to reward myself in ways that are congruent with that productivity…marrying it against my bodies ability to sustain mental and physical labor. A natural hedonist…I work best when I can have a reward for the hard work. So metaphorically speaking {and actually quite literally, I do actually ring a bell to usher in a new spell of work}…I have become this salivating dog…learning new tricks. And all those tiny diminishing parts of my submissive soul see a bit a life in the exercise…and with every little ring. ✨

UBMS Summer 2017 Part Two
This completes my 8th Summer with the SIUe Upward Bound Math and Science. As it goes, the Junior year is usually the best. We (s/o to the best staff aka family ever) try to instill more then just educational seeds with our students. We are trying to plant seeds that deal with leadership and character. This year revealed that some of the seeds are falling on bad soil which is/was disheartening but that is not the case for the majority, which is something I had to realize to not give up.
