She often wears a mask throughout her life.
People only see this fancy mask she wears.
They recognize her as a beautiful woman.
She grins solely to make herself attractive.
That’s what the men and women tell her.
When the day ends, she returns home.
She removes the mask to have a rest.
There is a second mask underneath.
See? This is the mask she put on herself.
She deceives herself using her a mask.
It’s a shame she can’t see her true self.
Does her old genuine self still exist?
Or has she always had to play pretend?
