Variegated Butterfly on a Prairie Sunflower.
I saw a butterfly, yesterday…My first one of the year. This isn’t it, though it’s probably a similar variety. (I wasn’t gonna run downstairs and chase a butterfly through the complex.) I was surprised to see it, considering how cold it was only just last week. Insects sure are tough.

I really like the black & white versions of these. Throughout the what? Two years? I’ve been creating b&w versions of my images, I’ve realized I like them best when there is a high amount of contrast within the original image. Image taken while hanging out with @mira_photo_club during a photo walk.
