Was unable to get enough information about the chip on the keypad I bought to be able to make custom firmware, it seems to be a custom M0 Cortex with nRF. Uses QMK for sure, but I would need a pin out of the custom chip they used to be able to make custom firmware for it.
So I just bought a Keycron K0 Max,
Can’t find th firmware sources for that, but I know they don’t use custom chips so I can just make my own firmware if they don’t respond to my request for the sources. They have sources for their other keyboards.

Start up my computer and my Win key just doesn’t work anymore. My keyboard just decided to give up and that binding stopped working completely.
That might not sound like a problem, but I’m on Linux with Swaywm and hotkeys are basically the only way for me to navigate.
I am physically unable to open any program without pressing either Win+D to search for it or Win+Enter to open the terminal and then launch it manually.
That was a nightmare! The crappy solution was to just switch from Windows Left to Option (or whatever the apple version is), both are Mod4 so it doesn’t matter. Not *super* willing to recommend a Keychron C3 pro anymore, lol =|:T

I built a custom mechanical keyboard!
I used a barebones Keychron V5 96% with knob for the case/PCB, Gateron Green clicky switches, XVX PBT pudding keycaps, O-rings, and electrical tape mod on the back of the PCB.

Keychron K2の静音化
Keychron K2 ノンバックライトとKeychron K2 Proを使っているけど、Proと比べるとK2のほうがキーの底打ちのときに甲高い音が気になるようになってきたので、静音化を実行。
まず現状はこの状態。
キーキャップはPBTのものに交換済み。
キーキャップを外して
この状態。スイッチはGateron G Proの白軸に変更済み。
スイッチも全部外して
ちなみにスイッチ外しは
これを使ってます。
キーボード付属のやつだとかなり大変だけど、これだとかなり楽。
爪がかかりそこねることもあって、スイッチの引っかかるところが欠けたりしたけど、まだ不慣れだからかも。
スイッチが外せたら、ボードをケースから外してケースの底にスポンジを入れて反響音を抑えます。
ここにポロンスポンジを敷きます。
バッテリをよけてそれ以外のところに適当に敷いていきます。
次にプレートとPCBの間を埋めていきます。
K2 ProだとプレートとPCBの間に吸音フォームが入っていて
これも音の違いに大きな影響がありそうなので、K2ノンバックライトにも入れていきます。
入れたのはこれ。
一枚のものもあったけど、サイズやキーの穴の位置が合わないと困るのでひとつひとつ貼り付けていくタイプを選択。
PCBに貼り付けました。
ひとつひとつなのでここが一番面倒な作業です。
しかもこれ、フィルムから剥がすときになかなかうまく剥がれず、両面テープはシートに残ったまま間から千切れそうになります。
どうにかこうにか慎重に剥がしながら、PCB上のキースイッチの位置にひとつひとつ貼り付け。
貼り終わったらPCBとプレートをねじ止めして、ケースに戻してスイッチも戻してキーキャップをつけたら完了。
音は明らかに変わりました。K2 Proより静かでいいかも。
どれが一番効果があったのかはわかりませんけど、甲高い音は消えてとてもいい感じ。
