I swear the Yoto Sleep Radio is magic. Little Man falls asleep so fast once I turn it on. He’ll go from messing around to asleep in less than 5 minutes.
Good morning friends!
Today is a busy day for H and I. We have 4 loaves of bread to bake (CJ and I are in the process of trying to stock up our freezer for the next little while) and lots of dishes to do and laundry to fold. Hoping to get it all done before CJ comes home from work so that we can all relax as a family with some dinner :)
H is now 6 months, so we’ve started doing some purees this past week. I’ve finally get to put my new steamer/blender to use lol. So far I’ve made him sweet potatoes, green beans, and avocado purees. I have a ton of stuff lined up for him to try after I make it but I ran out of jars lol.
Hope you’re all having a lovely day! <3
2/22 Weekly Meal Plan
~
I’m only a few days late!
It’s Lent, so my family doesn’t eat meat or poultry. I’m pregnant and our oldest is only 7 so we don’t abstain as much as some may. My husband tends to be more observant, usually only eating dinner on Friday and doing his best to limit fish, eggs and dairy. He often gets packed seperate meals that I previously froze.
Every Sunday, we do our best to get both families together. Monday, my neighbor usually comes over for lunch, my second oldest has indoor soccer so dinner will be a bit easier. My mother comes over on Tuesday while I’m at choir practice and our oldest is at dance and our third has swim practice, so quick dinners are important. Wednesday my husband and I both have Bible study and eat dinner out together while the kids are at one of our parents house, then we have dessert together. Thursday our oldest 3 have practice, so I always want an easy set it and forget it meal. Friday we do our best to fast, allowing one big meal and 2 small ones. My husband usually helps me cook a meal on his days off, this week it’s Saturday lunch, and our oldest has been picking out dinner and helps me make it. She’s been helping since she could and has gotten pretty good at things!

Been so inactive today, not cooked or cleaned because I had to go to the Emergency Department and found out I have a:
🌸Pulmonary Embolism🌸
I knew DAMN well I was sick but kept getting told by doctors that I was being dramatic and although I’m not happy that it’s more serious than I thought, I am happy that I was RIGHT.
Lazy lunch whilst it’s just me and my S/O
Four cheese tortellini, Tomato pasta sauce, Red Leicester cheese.

Little Man’s first night in his own room was mostly successful! He woke up around 2 and out of habit I just got into bed with him 😅. My main concern was whether or not I’d wake up right away to the monitor and I did so that’s good.
I’ve done two hours of good work sorting out my room, with maybe another an hour to go. But considering I’ve tied a hot water bottle to my tummy with a scarf to get through this, I’m fairly happy with myself.
My husband took the kiddos out and I’d assume they’ll be home soon. He told me I should rest and he was probably right but I really needed to get some work done…it feels like if I take a day off it takes me two days to recover from it.
It’s odd. I’ve always been a caretaker (if not a mother proper). I can take care of others with no problems at all. And despite being my own mom’s right hand, it’s taken me a decade of running my own house to get a tenuous grasp on housekeeping.

Lentil stew and piping hot gluten free bread for supper. 🩷 I need to look up a lentil stew recipe next time. I just threw things together this time and it’s okay, but I think it could be better.
Happy Sunday!
Currently relaxing on the couch with a napping Baby H while letting CJ sleep in for a little longer. Dishwasher is running and I’m waiting on my dough to rise for 2 loaves of bread to bake later today. I’m also going to be baking some chocolate chip cookies afterwards to celebrate being totally snowed in lol.
Dinner tonight is chicken and biscuits.
Have a wonderful day everyone! 🫶
