David’s high pitched scream is hilarious enough on its own but this cutaway to Hilda and her saying “Those stones are REALLY screaming.” referring to the screaming stones thing that was mentioned earlier in the episode makes this so much funnier.
It’s nice to have Netflix back so I can watch this show again. Will always be one of my favorite shows.

In my headcanons, it’s mostly the raw energy associated with magic that tends to mess with the Omnitrix, like how Anodites are made from pure mana and have no scannable DNA. Different kinds of magic, subtler ones, may have a different effect on the Omni-Core; the beings from Hilda are more born from magic, and may have a higher potential for wielding certain types than Plain-Jane humans, but it should be within the tolerance of the Omnitrix
For example, there are entire books for studying the effects of witchcraft on electronics, proving that the Omnitrix isn’t the only example of a device not handling magic very well. At the same time, Trolls sort of just grow out of the ground in response to Amma’s magic, but they don’t fry electronics just by standing near them, right? Just because a creature is born from magic, doesn’t necessarily mean that their body is pumping out machine-wrecking energy at all times—that would be more of an Anodite thing.
They merely channel energy from the other realms, as stated during The Beast of Cauldron Island, while only dark magic (or so the Committee calls it) draws directly from one’s own life force (mana). Troll magic, Deerfox light bridges, Huldufolk contracts—they’re all applied magic that’s merely enabled by their biology. The Omnitrix is delicate, but it can probably handle moderate doses of that, so long as the energy doesn’t target the hardware specifically
