What Is A Heat Pipe?

- A heat pipe is a heat transport medium - not a cooling device.
- A heat pipe is an ingenous device that can transfer heat from one point to another rapidly by way of two-phase flow and capillary action
- Heat Pipes are often referred to as superconductors of heat as they posses an extra ordinary heat transfer capacity & rate with almost no heat loss
- The concept was first socialized by R.S. Gaugler in 1942 but it was G.M. Grover in 1962 who invented it and started a host of activities in design and deployment of two-phase thermal conductors.
