Summer Arrived Again
I live in an apartment that is enclosed by the mountains and a five-minute walk to the ski slopes. It was built about 30 years ago, when this area was cool enough to be lived without an air conditioner in high summer. As an air conditioner was assumed unnecessary, my apartment has the structure that an air conditioner can’t be set up.

Having (what i think is??) a bit of a fever is so fucking annoying as somebody who already doesn’t have the best temperature regulation. I am already done with my cheeks getting flushed with warmth 15 minutes after entering a warm building, but now i get to shiver for the entire day until it is time to try and sleep. Can i please end this free trial of summertime temperatures, please??
Can I stop feeling like i’m sweating, even though i’m actually not somehow?? my skin is giving me cold pinpricks and i hate it. Just. cool down back to normal? Or even start shivering again. It is way easier to warm up than cool down. This is terrible

I did a thing this past weekend!! The song is Fever by Peggy Lee (arrangement by Robyn Adele Anderson) and I made my dress.
The fabric is a red stretch velvet and I hand applied the red rhinestones to the skirt and bodice straps. I started on this last Saturday - Drafting the corset and making the bodice, the skirt was finished by Monday and I finished the rhinestone application on Wednesday! I would say it took me about 25 hours to complete (most of which was applying the rhinestones with tweezers) and I wore it to sing in twice - I have a problem with the concept of moderation, I’ll find another place to wear it, it’s fine! I’m pretty proud of this performance (and yes they cut the lights when I “blew out the candle” aka the mic), enjoy!
