A somewhat crazy thought about Star Trek, especially TOS, since I haven’t watched other series.
I keep thinking about the idea of the Federation of Planets. From what I understand, Earth was the founding planet. I wonder who came up with the idea, who the first members were. And it makes me think of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who go from house to house asking: “Would you like to hear the word of the Lord?” In the case of the Enterprise, would it be “Would you like to hear the word of the Federation of Planets?”

Taxpayer Funded Authorities Not Cooperating in the Minnesota Shooting
A woman is killed, perhaps murdered in the street in full public view, the issue is politically charged and the police authorities don’t work together to investigate what happened and to bring a prosecution.
Is that a deliberate attempt to destroy public confidence in the state’s ability to keep its population safe ? That used to be a definition of terrorism, just this time the perpetrator is the US Government committing terrorism against states.
