Roy-centric, meta-ish drabble and a half (150 words) inspired by me accidentally clicking “resume chapter” instead of “restart chapter” several times after getting him killed on enemy phase. Sorry Roy.

[[MORE]]Metal flashes in the sunlight, and he freezes. He hears his name as he falls, cried out—he can’t make out anything else. Bloody searing pain gushes out of him, his vision fades to black.
The blade slices through him, too deep. Slumping to the ground, the muddied words that are wracked out of her reach him, but can’t breach his dizzy mind. He can’t keep his eyes open. He can’t move a thing.
Clad in crimson, the swordsman cuts Roy down before he has time to react. Choking out a breath, he knows: this is not the kind of battle wound he is used to. Over the clattering of his sword, a voice pierces him, sharp as the steel edge that his insides drip off of. Lilina, it’s Lilina, calling for him, begging his life—but he can’t answer, not any more, as his consciousness crashes into the dirt.
