I consider titans to be maternal beings, their happiness tied towards the happiness, contentment and welfare of their occupants. They silently tend to their inhabitants, simply content to watch them flourish, while the occupants live their lives unknowing.

But Directrix is a government-owned secret experiment, doomed to serve his function unmanned, unhappy and unloved.

Meet two of my ocs: Directrix (which I also use as a sona) and Vinculum. They’re both space stations and data gatherers of specific data in their own fields.

I guess Directrix scrapes anything and everything about the cybertronian population. He has access to both the mass surveillance system and the Autobot database. He helps Prowl identify threats (person or event) to the current status quo.

While Vinculum is more specific to the world of politics and economics. (His owner is a politician) so he collects anything that is of interest with his owner (dirty secrets, any black mail material from both enemies and friends, trade secrets, etc), and also aids him in other equally shady things (money laundering, fraud, market manipulation, etc)

So, if I have a parabola that opens to the left, the vertex of the parabola is (0,0), the focus is on the x-axis, and the focal diameter is 3, how am I supposed to find the equation of the parabola?

This is a homework assignment, and I don’t want anyone to give me the answer; all I want is to know how to go about solving this. I know the directrix must be vertical but I don’t know where it is, and I know the focus is on the x-axis but nothing beyond that. I haven’t the faintest idea where to start on this problem.

Help?
