watching both the Croods movie back to back is kind of a wild experience.
cuz like the end of the first movie and where the second one starts is such a stark contrast. Why are the croods back in their og outfits when they were wearing completely different things at the end of the first movie?? And why are there so many mischaracterizations throughout??
Grug should not be a bumbling idiot. He’s a competent father and leader, and he can adapt when needed. Plus he already did the stupid “I don’t want Guy with Eep” thing in the first movie! He shouldn’t be all mad again! If you want him to worry about them leaving, at least write it differently! His character destruction is almost as bad as Ralph Breaks the Internet tbh
Speaking of Guy and Eep, that fire making scene at the beginning was so dumb. as established in the first movie, fire does not require two people to make! Guy could very easily just make the fire and then be all flirty or whatever with Eep. But the flirtiness is so over the top it’s not in character for them. Guy would not tell Grug to “chill”. other than that wdk there’s just something off about Guy.
ngl there’s a lot of dumbing down the Croods in this movie. They aren’t stupid! Eep acts like she doesn’t know shit at times even though she’s very smart in the first movie. Maybe naive, but not dumb. The Thunk-window gag was kinda funny the first time but after that it gets slightly annoying. Gran is just. weird. That’s fine but we kinda wish we got a little sprinkle of Thunder Sisters in the first movie.
We know it’s just a kids movie or whatever, but we just had to express our opinion on this.

Can’t quite remember all of them BUT I will talk abt my faves >:3 They are listed in order of favorites, starting w my all time fav:
1. The Bear Owl
The bear owl is a creature that’s meant to be an owl and a bear but has more tiger traits than bear, which I’m chill w ngl. They’re just. Everything I like in a creature!! They can be cute, scary, weird, all of that! Also they can turn their heads all the way around and that’s cool. Also they’re fun to draw and I needa draw them more :D
2. The Liyote
Gonna be honest I have no idea what the other half of these guys is but their rampant mischief makes them so cute n funny! I love them and I wanna pick one up by the scruff of its neck & jiggle it
3. The Teranaconda
Snake plus dinosaur, how cool???
4. The Chikuna
They’re silly and weird, that is all (also fish chicken, that’s so funny)
5. The pigrat
Same reason as above, also they’re pigeons plus rats and those are some of my fav pets I wanna get
