To enjoy your favorite coffee on the go, cold brew coffee is smooth and cool. It’s not as acidic and doesn’t taste as strong as regular hot brewed coffee, so it’s great for hot days or when you need a caffeine boost.
Ingredients: 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans. 4 cups cold water. Ice cubes. Sweetener optional. Milk or creamer optional.
Instructions: In a large jar or container, mix the coarsely ground coffee beans with cold water. Make sure to mix the coffee grounds well so that they are all wet. Don’t open the jar for at least 12 hours. Cover it and put it in the fridge overnight. When you’re ready to serve, strain the cold brew coffee into a clean container or pitcher through a fine-mesh sieve or a coffee filter. Put ice cubes in a glass and pour the cold brew coffee over them to serve. If you want, add milk or creamer and sweetener, and stir to mix. Have fun with your cold brew coffee to go!
