I love my husband who is always my nurse, protector, advisor and my best friend. Hubby helped with my menopur shots as well as hcg trigger shot that I did last night. We BD this morning, and next couple days then tww begins. Fx.

I can’t help myself but I’m getting hopeful about this cycle. And I really wished I wouldn’t. But i also can’t NOT TTC. I don’t remember how to anymore.

I know it’s still early days in the tww and I’m away from home and not really thinking about babies (except for the fact that I’m looking after my niece and nephew and I’m finding it all rather tiring. And challenging. But fun.) BUT i think i’ll just try to stop being sooo consumed by the whole ttc thing.

I’m mentally preparing myself for whats going to happen when we’ve been trying for over a year, and seeing what (if anything) comes of his SA.

I’ll still probably track ovulation but try to focus on my work more. And my relationship. But then again, i think stopping actively ttcing and being so consumed by it is easier said than done. But we’ll see.

I know it can’t be pregnancy-related but I’m feeling so nauseous today that I’m struggling to sit at my desk. I hate hate hate this and I’ve been so crampy for the past day and I’m preparing myself for another epic disappointment in a week’s time

Okay but why does it hurt to ovulate? Evolutionarily humans are supposed to procreate this time of the month, but I definitely don’t want to with the cramping and nausea and whatnot.

Why did I ever go on hormonal birth control? It’s cd16 and I don’t think I’ve ovulated. I ALWAYS ovulated between cd13-15 before the ring. I’ve had lots of creamy cm but no ewcm so far and I went out on a limb and took my bbt this morning - 97.1°. So even though I haven’t been tracking, that’s probably too low to be post-O day. Ugh, my body was on such a great cycle last year why did I have to change things up?

Today is CD16 and the date of my 9th IUI. It went okay, I think. I mean, it’s hard to say. It’s always a crampy and unpleasant experience. But I felt like it went a bit quicker than usual. I do still have cramping, which is kind of unusual for me, but I know it doesn’t mean anything. I feel good about this try, though. Really relaxed. March 4th is my test day.

I had a blood test on Monday morning that told me I was surging. I don’t do the home tests anymore, they just take my blood like every 10 minutes :)

Alright, folks.  It’s CD16 and 4DPO. So, um, I don’t really have anything to report about that. 

I was feeling kind of weepy yesterday, which I think is from the medication.  I also did something stupid to my shoulder.  It hurt a lot.  I was super productive this weekend, so I’m sure it happened while I was working on the house.  But Kate gave me a massage, and now I feel better.  She’s seriously made of magic.  I don’t even know how she does it. 

But yes, productive.  Went to Home Depot and spent too many dollars, and then mowed the backyard and cut down some of the crap.  The guys who owned the house before me exclusively planted things that aggressively creep.  Because we were busy with other things, we let it go a few weeks and it was literally like a jungle.  I’m talking vines.

It’s not perfect, but it looks a lot better now.

The doors of our old shed had also fallen off.  I have no idea how or why that happened.  But I built one new door, and I just need to hang it tonight.  Then I need to buy more wood to build another door. But it’s a good start. 

I didn’t do anything with the bathroom.  But I’m going to try to work on tiling a little this week, maybe.  Probably not.

Kate and I have broached the subject of maybe not having kids.  I don’t know how many more times we can really afford to try.  I don’t know emotionally how many more times we can try. 

But it’s 9 more days before my pregnancy test, so who knows, maybe it’s a moot point. 

CD16/5DPO

It feels a little less stupid to be looking at the cycle days and days past ovulation now that the numbers are getting a touch higher.  Still feel a little ridiculous though.

Summer already feels in full swing, even though it’s like 50 degrees outside.  It’s just such a busy time of year. There’s somewhere to go or something to do every five minutes.

I reserved the cabin for camping.

Helping to plan a festival that’s now only 9 weeks away.

I still need to get a hotel room for Pride.

Booked a flight to go to Chicago for my best friend’s mom’s wedding in May.

This is not even considering how busy we are at work.

Busy Jen is busy.

I, however, do not feel pregnant.  Not that there’s really any way to “feel” pregnant at this point.  But I just have this suspicion that it didn’t work.  Hopefully I’m wrong.  I’m often wrong, so there’s that.

Hungry. Sore nipples. Dark ring around my areolas. VERY bloated.

Why can I never keep my mind away from symptom spotting for very long?

At this point I’m so hungry it’s hard to care about my diet. Maybe I have a tapeworm baby? :p

Today I got my first positive OPK while on clomid. hopefully this medication is working and we can have some babies in the near future! Please wish me luck and baby dust!
