i’m sure i’ve replayed ffix upwards of 40 times but here’s my Second finished file (most likely around 53 hours instead including final boss fights). first file was on psx when i was barely taking college classes so i dont have the playtime for that one. i honestly dont expect it to be much different than this one tho. maybe worse.
this wasnt my final party because necron was an asshole and zombified everyone that was alive and i spent like 4 turns trying to revive steiner. ended up switching vivi and steiner out for eiko and freya (who killed the boss on her trance jump when she was at 1 hp. peak rat gamer hours)
still fucked up my friendly monster quest since i most likely didn’t save after i found one, then died without meeting them again since the yan KEEPS RUNNING FROM ME and i Don’t Remember Who The Fuck It Was. maybe someday i’ll actually complete that and then fight ozma. at least i got to see ragtimer explode that was fun
anyway .39% steal chance on some of the best equipment for 80% of the game is dogshit. glad they changed that in other games holy Shit i was getting tilted for some of those (i.e. about to give up on stealing the fairy flute from hilgigars and stealing it immediately after saying i was going to stop)
