J'ai une “tendresse” particulière pour les jeux Fantasy Games Unlimited (FGU). Un intérêt que je n'explique pas vraiment car les règles sont datées et les univers pas vraiment originaux par rapport à ce qui est sorti depuis.
J'ai quelques antiquités dans ma collection dont Villains & Vigilantes quasi complet et puis différentes versions de Chivalry & Sorcery qui était le jeu de jeunesse de mon épouse.
J'ai mené à Flashing Blades et la traduction française, Les trois mousquetaires est dans ma liste de recherches mais il semble encore plus rare à pister.
J'avais donc déjà Bushido en version originale et c'est une fois de plus une errance sur Vinted qui m'a permis de compléter mon petit musée.
En le relisant je me compte à quel point Le livre des cinq anneaux (le JdR) s'est appuyé sur ce jeu et le supplément Oriental Adventures pour AD&D.
L'approche se veut plus historique mais une belle part de mythes est tout de même accessible.
Mais que c'est austère, peu d'illustrations, des textes compactes et une organisation en 1010.4 puis 1010.2… digne des règles de wargames de années ‘80 !
La contrepartie est que le jeu possède un univers d'une profondeur culturelle très riche : vie quotidienne, architecture, guerre, légendes…
Donc à lire, mais pas à jouer pour moi.
