Alien Riggy 👽🛸

If you’ve haven’t seen it already, a new Riggy skit came out finally~! I ain’t gonna spoil it much, but it was taking place in space, so that’s what inspired me to draw alien Riggy!! I’ll admit, I haven’t drawn this version of him since like, late 2023, so its certainly a throwback. 👾👾

It has been two days since River departed for her road trip with J. She informed us they are traveling to Florida and is uncertain when she will return.

Sabrine appears affected by her departure. Andy has been attempting to comfort her using humor.

The environment feels different in her absence. I had become accustomed to interacting with her on a daily basis.

I learned a significant amount from her and hope to see her again before my mission here is complete.

I drew some gray aliens with massive schlongs for Bluesky, and thought I’d post a censored version here. I can’t believe I never thought to use these bananas for censoring before. 😅

I know this has been discussed but..

The Alien franchise a metaphor for rape.

It deliberately uses imagery and plot structures that parallel sexual violation and reproductive trauma. The films repeatedly use body horror tied to forced reproduction, which strongly evokes themes associated with sexual assault.

1. Forced impregnation

  • The facehugger forcibly implants an embryo in a victim’s body.
  • The victim has no consent and no control over what happens.
  • This parallels the fear of involuntary pregnancy or bodily violation.

2. Male pregnancy

  • The iconic chestburster scene forces a male character to experience pregnancy and birth.
  • Many analyses argue this reverses traditional gender roles to make male audiences confront bodily vulnerability often associated with women.

3. Sexualized monster design

  • The creature designed by H. R. Giger intentionally uses sexual imagery:
  • phallic head
  • vaginal and skeletal textures
  • penetrative attacks
  • Giger’s biomechanical style mixes sex and violence on purpose.

4. Violent reproduction cycle

  • The alien species reproduces through parasitic violation rather than consensual mating.
  • Survival horror is built around the terror of your body being used against your will.

Screenwriter Dan O'Bannon openly discussed wanting to disturb male viewers by making them imagine being forcibly impregnated. The idea was essentially: what if men experienced the bodily horror women often fear?

The protagonist Ellen Ripley is often seen as resisting this system of forced reproduction. She survives by refusing the alien’s reproductive cycle and destroying it repeatedly, which is why she became one of the most iconic final girls in horror.

The films also discuss:

  • corporate exploitation (the company willing to sacrifice the crew)
  • fear of disease and parasites
  • anxieties around pregnancy and birth
  • gender and bodily autonomy

So the rape/sexual violation reading is one major interpretation, especially within horror and film studies, but it sits alongside other themes rather than being the only meaning.
