It’s weird talking to left-wing people I know if Elon’s name comes up, because of how incredibly quickly and thoroughly they have been indoctrinated into believing he is the devil. I told a socialist guy I worked alongside I thought Musk was one of the most inspiring people in the world right now and he looked utterly bewildered and outraged. He asked why and I started to list some of the things above but the non-partisan facts of existence meeting his brain were like water running off a duck’s back.
It’s even better if you ask them why they hate him.

I think it’s not that they aren’t capable of learning. I think it’s more they don’t want to admit they’re wrong. they ignore the obvious and continue to virtue signal and double down on policies, ideas, people that are proven failures because to admit otherwise doing and saying otherwise means Trump wins. Even if it has nothing to do with Trump or politics
No matter the reason, whether they are incapable or simply deeply conditioned not to, they do not learn, they do not apologize, they do not admit defeat, they are the deeply demoralized. How do you fix a societal problem of this scale without either rivers of blood or reeducation camps? The current system is attempting to extricate and ostracize them, only time can tell if this will be enough or simply regarded in hindsight as an insufficient half measure– if we even have the luxury of time.

Depends. Every kind of fruit loses significantly in everything but quantity when it becomes mass produced due to popularity.
Red delicious are likely not the same as what our grandmas ate.
In my experience this happened to a lot of tomatoes. Store bought tomatoes range from “meh” to “tastes like grass” and most of them have this shitty hard core that needs to be cut out.
To get tomatoes that taste like fucking tomatoes I need to either go to a farmer’s market, get some from my aunt’s garden OR buy the “premium, bio, eco, ultra special” tomatoes at the store which cost 3 times as much as regular ones.
Interesting. I do buy apples at the farmer’s market as well from time to time and they’re also much better than ones from the store (while being bigger and cheaper).
