While famine and violence are addressed the most - rightfully so - I feel like we underestimate diseases outbreaks that occur when water is contaminated and the surrounding environment is unsanitary and unsafe. Many people fall ill at the same time. They are rushed to the nearest hospital. It is overflowing. There are not enough doctors, nurses, or resources. Their lives are on the line!

This is the case for Sudan. We are in the third (3rd) year of the genocide. Cholera (a bacterial infection in the small intestines due to contaminated food and/or water) outbreaks are taking place! It is the worst outbreak in the past 40 years!

Enough is enough. We need a permanent ceasefire now! Please make some noise for Sudan. Boycott the UAE, donate to fundraisers and organizations, and protest! Consider helping this family of 13. Major ‘DIY’ hormone hub shuts down as the anti-trans brigade targets more sites

HRT Cafe, a grassroots database of tutorials, resources, and information on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), closed its doors earlier this week.

The website, which was maintained by a small, anonymous group of developers, was considered one of the biggest resources for ‘DIY’ HRT in the UK.

It is not illegal to possess non-controlled hormones for personal use without a prescription in the UK.

Developers shuttered the site unexpectedly earlier this week. No official statement has been published, only that its developers were no longer accepting donations.

Its closure came just days after a number of right-wing news outlets, including The Daily Signal, published articles on ‘DIY’ vendors citing HRT Cafe and other resource sites.

They are tracking trans residents of Kansas. They have already established that they can and will forcibly undocument trans kansans.

This past legislative session it’s “only” been reversion of legal ID and banning of gender affirming care for minors. What will it be next legislative session?

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven’t fully internalized this.

Hey Bri I hope you don’t mind me sharing this on your post but in case anyone reading this is in Kansas or knows trans people in Kansas, Colorado is nearby and considered one of the safest states for trans & queer people. I know relocating is logistically expensive and challenging for many reasons, especially for people in a vulnerable situation, but if it is an option anyone is considering, there is a nonprofit here that may be able to help.

i’ve seen many of you on my dash reblog fundraisers and campaigns from palestinians, especially those that have been vetted and verified. it’s a massive help for those families. but today i want to talk about the person behind the verification: mohammed ayesh @moxayesh who has done the legwork to make sure these campaigns are legit.

unfortunately his own campaign is struggling. as many of you may know, mohammed has recently gotten married! he and his wife farah are trying their best to start a new life with a fresh start. their campaign goal is $10k, of which they currently have $3211. you can donate to them on chuffed here.

i also want to mention mohammed’s little brother, yaser @yaseergaza. yaser is hard of hearing and has a cochlear implant. however due to the situation in gaza, he often struggles to keep his cochlear implant charged, and he has also had to discontinue his speech therapy sessions. he is trying to raise funds so that he can continue looking after his health, and currently has $695 out of a total goal of $10k. you can donate to him on chuffed here.
