ALTMega Dimension DLC+text posts

For Engage Month Day 6 (Lythos), I wanted to share my nonbinary Alear design. ❤️💙 I love the interpretation of Alear’s story as a trans allegory and was curious what a combination of their canon designs would look like (+a couple extra details for fun). This is just a quick mockup, but if anyone wants to use it as inspiration for their own design/art at all, then feel free.
ALT
ALTSome LynFlorinas from last year’s FE Artscuffle, sweet style and silly style.
ALTMeg and Mozu as childhood friends in a modern AU (plus a little friend they found while playing outside 🐢), drawn for last year’s FE Artscuffle. Mozu reminds me of Nephenee, so I think she and Meg would get along great! I associate turtles with armor knights, and I think Meg would like that they carry their homes with them. 💚

ALTHeadshots for last year’s FE Artscuffle. I had fun experimenting with these!
1. Ninian with blue hydrangeas, meant to represent frigid emotions and regrets, but also gratitude and acceptance.
2. Soren’s Valentine’s alt from FEH with trans pride flowers.
3. Astrid/Marcia Pokémon AU. I chose Eevee to represent Astrid’s potential as a Paragon user who left an oppressive situation, and a chatty flying friend for Marcia.
4. Pirate Jill! I wanted her to look cool and dapper.
5. Xane in a fluffy scarf.
6. @shiny-swablu-love’s awesome OC, Yahira!

ALTTimerra/Merrin has been my favorite Engage ship since I first encountered them. Timerra is my favorite character, and she deserves a devoted partner that supports her in her hands-on approach as Solm’s heir. Their supports have such an intimate feel to me, both serious yet comfortable at the same time. The script is great by itself, but I think the music choices and voice acting really add to the tender and flirty atmosphere. The typical A support music being used straight away in the C support gets across how close they are, and the lack of music in the B support creates its own hushed sense of intimacy.
I also adore their backstory. I love how Merrin has always seen Timerra as her princess, even before knowing her station. Timerra’s core ideal is to accept others for who they are regardless of their origins, and Merrin’s story is about how she wanted to escape the life decided for her to pursue her dreams instead. They are able to live the lives they want and be their best selves because of each other. I also enjoy the slight tension of Timerra asking Merrin’s mother’s permission to knight Merrin, with Merrin agreeing to become matriarch someday.
[[MORE]]Of course, Timerra’s team has a lighter side as the Racket of Solm. Despite how Timerra and Merrin are both noted by others to be bad at singing, Merrin’s ally notebook lists Timerra’s songs as one of her likes, and Merrin says in her supports with Panette that though people always told her she was a terrible singer, Timerra praised her voice as unique, which Merrin seems to have taken to heart. They’re both meat lovers as well, with Merrin also enjoying Timerra’s cooking.
Merrin’s other supports show her care for Timerra’s well-being. She tells Panette she couldn’t live with herself if she made Timerra cry, and her supports with Kagetsu are about how her conviction to protect Timerra is so strong that it can spur her to win any duel.
Since Timerra values freedom and independence, I sometimes wonder how these two manage Merrin’s more protective side as shown in the aforementioned support chain. Since they have such a fond and trusting relationship, I have to imagine they can work through that, but it’s still an interesting potential conflict to explore (especially with how Timerra’s ring support reveals that she worries her bonds with others will keep her tied down).
Another thing I love thinking about is how in most of Merrin’s supports, we see her trying to act cool while flirting with women, only for the parts of her that are enthusiastic, clumsy, or awkward to come out. While this is very endearing, I think it’s interesting that she manages to keep up her cool knightly side with Timerra, arguably the person she most wants to impress. Even so, I’m sure Timerra would be super accepting of Merrin being more expressive and indulging her hobbies, just like how she supports Merrin’s cringe singing, and they also must have seen many sides of each other when they initially traveled together (as well as when Timerra’s team travels together in the epilogue).
As for the Fell Xenologue, I love Merrin’s interaction with fell Timerra. The way that Merrin manages to be so smooth even with this version of Timerra, even in the face of learning that the Merrin of this world is dead, really shows her care for Timerra. The fact that even fell Timerra is so affected by seeing her really says a lot, especially since fell Timerra’s convo with Fogado reveals that this version of her thinks that as a queen, she has to remain stoic at all times, to the point where he has to remind her she’s still human. That fact has always felt revealing of regular Timerra as well, who tries to stay strong due to her station in a different way, just with more of a casual front–just one more reason I love seeing someone so doting at her side.

In honor of Sommie Day (day one of the Engage month hosted by @daydreamingsommie), here’s a Seadall Sommie I drew for 2025’s FE Artscuffle.
I’m excited for all of the Engage love this month!

Bonus coincidence that happened while I was editing:

ALTI’ve never drawn Deerling before so this was a bit of a trial and error!

He is just a cutie though <3

[ID: A two-panel ship comic of Rhoda Teneiro and Cammy Meele from Ace Attorney Investigations. They are drawn from the shoulders up with uncolored line art.
In the first panel, Cammy is leaning on Rhoda’s shoulder with her arm around the other shoulder. Cammy is looking wistfully away from Rhoda and saying, “Y'know, Rhoda… At least your dumb art is real. That’s something to be proud of, I guess.” Rhoda looks a little curious and confused.
In the second panel, Rhoda is turning away from Cammy with a perturbed expression, and Cammy is now leaning against her back, looking resigned. Rhoda says, “I don’t accept compliments from people who call my art dumb!” to which Cammy replies, “Heh. Yeah, don’t read into it.”]
Two completely normal flight attendants for @aayurirare Day Seven: Pride. Thanks for hosting this again! I’m always glad for an excuse to draw ace attorney women.

[ID: Fanart of Maggey Byrde and Lauren Paups from Ace Attorney Investigations. They are shown in profile from the waist up, with Maggey colored in blue and Lauren in pink. Lauren looks sad, while Maggey is grasping both of Lauren’s hands and looking into her eyes with determination. They are both blushing.
Maggey’s dialogue: “Don’t lose hope! Our luck will turn around.”]
Unlucky brunettes in love for @aayurirare Day Five: Comfort!

[ID: Monochromatic, waist-up fanart of Penny Nichols (all blue) and Judy Bound (all green) from Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Penny looks serious to the point of stressed as she holds out a trading card that seems to feature Judy. Judy is smiling warmly and leaning forward with her hands held out. Dialogue reads:
Penny: “I know it’s not professional to ask, but…please sign this!”
Judy: “Why, of course!”]
For AAI Women Week Day Seven: Legacy | Battle | “My own hero”
Technically, this counts for all three prompts if you consider the inner battle Penny must have had before approaching Judy! Of course, I’m sure she’s gracious to her fans.

No matter how hard things get. No matter how formidable one’s opponent. When we feel that we are not alone, we can keep going, no matter how hard the road ahead.
[ID: Fanart of Verity Gavèlle from Ace Attorney Investigations 2. She is shown from the waist up, hugging the Taurasaurus plushie with her eyes closed and a serene smile. The art is all yellow, with a decorative border that includes a heart motif. Surrounding Verity are various design elements representing her bonds with others: lion lilies and the badges of a prosecutor, a Themis Academy student, a defense attorney, and the Yatagarasu.]
For AAI Women Week Day Six: Bonds | “No matter where you go”

[ID: Two pieces of monochromatic fanart of Kay Faraday and Franziska von Karma. In both, Franziska is smiling calmly at Kay while Kay grins widely. The top art, all yellow, illustrates a scene from AAI2 case 4, when Kay has just gotten her memories back and is still covered in bandages. It features the start of a quote from Franziska: “That smile suits you better, too…” The bottom art, all blue, completes the quote with “…as it always did.” In this one, Kay and Franziska are shown as children, as when they first met.]
For AAI Women Week Day Five: “Laughter is the best medicine”

Silence is golden.
[ID: Full color ship art of Verity Gavèlle and Shih-na from Ace Attorney Investigations. They are portrayed in profile from the midsection up, with Verity’s finger on Shih-na’s parted lips. Verity’s bangs hide her face with the exception of her mysterious smile. The background is dark, and the atmosphere is intimate.]
For AAI Women Week Day Four: Goddess | Confess | “Silence is golden”

If I got lost while I was out playing, she’d come looking for me till the sun went down. If I fell over and grazed my knee, she’d watch over me till I found the strength to pick myself up.
[ID: A full color illustration of Florence Niedler and Hilda Hertz from Ace Attorney Investigations 2. The background has a limited purple and yellow color palette meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia. It is a rural scene at night, with a big tree in the foreground. The tree separates the illustrations into two sections. In the top left, a young Florence Nielder, in pigtails and a schoolgirl outfit inspired by her nurse uniform, is sitting on the ground with a bandage on her knee. Hilda’s hand is patting her head. The main section of the picture takes place shortly after, with Florence and Hilda (minus her lab coat) on their way home. Florence is now energetically pointing at a full moon while Hilda calmly looks down at her.]
For AAI Women Week Day Three: Memory.
I wanted to try my hand at a more earnest take on this dynamic. Designing a younger Florence was fun; she sounds like she was quite an active child!

I feel like I’ve peered into her heart a little, you know? And it’s so cold, and dark… and incredibly lonely.
[ID: Greyscale fanart of Kay Faraday and Shih-na. Kay is in the foreground, touching her Yatagarasu pin and looking somberly down at the “hair sticks” she recovered from Shih-na, who is in the background, shadowed and with her eyes obscured. A quote from Kay is printed on the top and bottom of the image:
“There’s something even thieves should never steal. Do you know what that is? … A life. It’s too heavy of a burden on your soul to get away with, ever.”]
For AAI Women Week Day Two: Secret | Smuggle | “On the trail”
@aainvestigationswomen

[ID: Fanart of Kay Faraday and Verity Gavèlle, in full color from the waist up. Kay has her fists up with a determined smile, and Verity is turning back toward her, gavel in hand, looking both hesitant and stricken.]
“So what I’m trying to say is… you can trust us.”
“…What do you mean?”
“To get him back! To snatch him from the jaws of danger! I’m the second Yatagarasu, and if you agree to trust me, I promise I’ll get him back for you!”
For AAI Women Week Day One: Promise | Investigate | “Almost like magic”

Some hugs for some people who aren’t used to receiving them.

[[MORE]][Four pieces of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 fanart. All are from the waist up with sketchy lines and monochromatic coloring.
1. Verity Gavèlle hugging Eustace Winner. She’s smiling serenely while he looks surprised and has his arms at his side.
Verity: I’m so proud of you
Eustace: You…you are?
2. Verity hugging Miles Edgeworth. She’s smiling with relief. She is tucked under his chin, which is tilted up while he looks down at her, clearly caught off guard. His hands are hovering around her.
Verity: Thank you for everything
Miles: Oh, er, that isn’t necessary…
3. Verity hugging Franziska von Karma. Verity is shown from the back with her head over Franziska’s shoulder. Franziska is gritting her teeth and sweating a little, but she’s half returning the hug with one fist around Verity’s back, and her eyes look stricken.
Verity: And thank you as well
Franziska: I, I did nothing worth thanks
4. Shaun Fenn hugging Verity from the back, with Kay Faraday squashing him as she tries to tackle hug them both. Verity looks back at them, caught off guard, while Shaun looks at Kay in irritation. Kay is grinning, and her hair and scarf are swaying behind her.
Kay: And thank YOU! That’s right, I stole a hug
Shaun: Hey, no squishing!]
