Decision to leave (2022)
Is it crime, is it romance ….. or is it both?
A film with a complicated plot, and I am not sure I really understand every twist of it but I think you don’t have to understand 100% of the plot to grasp the essence of the movie. The essence is that the film is a mixture of crime and romance, a detective falling in love with his suspect. But the ending will leave u speechless n shattered to the core ( especially if u r a sensitive person). This scene above means entirely different if u know the ending of movie. The acting was top notch. Camera work is definitely top class. The story’s end is actually very thoughtful acc to the character of detective but very tragic.
glad you enjoyed this film! i agree, it’s one of my favorite films of all time. absolutely love the allegory of forbidden/impossible love being painted by confucius’ quote from the analects
the wise love the sea, the benevolent love the mountains
hae jun representing the mountain’s immovable sense of duty while seo-rae is the mysterious and illusive ocean whose depth the mountain can never reach because they grow in two different directions. the other will always want to stay while the other always wants to leave.

Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Anyone who has ever had an obsession, felt impulses to be drastic over something inconsequential, felt a bit out of place, or ever had in the back of their mind the sinking suspicion that they might be just a little bit crazy should see this film. Girl, Interrupted is rather self-indulgent, like watching children attack a bowl of Halloween candy or witnessing family members playfully fighting over the last piece of pumpkin pie. Ofc now ik why this movie is so popular among tumblr girl bloggers ahah.
Thanks for recommending @crucifiedhereticprincess I loved the movie.

Dazed and Confused (1993)
Dazed and Confused takes you on a nostalgic trip back to the 1970s, delivering an experience that’s as groovy as it is hilarious. From start to finish, this film had me grinning ear to ear, yearning to step into the bell-bottomed jeans of its characters and experience the era firsthand. This coming-of-age comedy captures the essence of teenage rebellion with effortless charm.

The Institute (2025)

Supernatural horror television series Based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, the series stars Ben Barnes, Mary-Louise Parker, and Joe Freeman in the main roles, and follows a young teenager who wakes up in a place where children possess special abilities, only to discover the institute’s dark secrets. Very engaging from the start to the end

Sisu (2022 -2025)
Sisu is an action-packed, gory film set in 1944 Finland, showcasing a prospector’s relentless fight against Nazis for his gold. its cinematography, special effects, and brutal combat, it blends action, dark humor, and Finnish culture. At its core, “Sisu” is an unapologetic homage to the one-man-army trope, reminiscent of the over-the-top heroics. The protagonist, Aatami Korpi, is a force of nature, a man whose survival defies logic, much like the heroes who walk away from explosions unscathed. His invincibility is both the film’s strength and its Achilles’ heel, offering a narrative that is as indestructible as it is implausible. Action scenes in the Soviet Union are so over the top but make sense in the context of the story. Extreme but not psychologically serious violence of this film honors the genre of action films from the 80s and 90’s. And many of us grew with those films, which makes this feel nostalgic; you feel safe on your seats even though everything is covered with blood unless it is exploding into a million pieces.

She squats in an old house smoking hash with a man, falls for a Tunisian laborer and works beside him pruning grape vines, stays with a couple shepherding goats, meets an agronomist trying to save plane trees, gets tipsy with an old woman, and has an offer to appear in porn films.

There’s no better way to open the series than with a simple, beautiful title card.

Quemar las naves (2007)

Later, Lam meets the oddly named Mr. Worm, who runs a company specializing in unusual investigations, and she decides to enlist his help in tracking Ted down. As Lam and Mr. Worm travel the globe, they form a surprisingly close bond.
Takeshi Kaneshiro’s character name “Mr. Worm” wasn’t a joke. lt had symbolic meaning. ln Chinese culture, a “worm” can represent someone small, humble, and unnoticed. The idea is that Mr. Worm is someone society overlooks. But he ends up being the most sincere and caring person Lam meets.

Kaos (originally Chaos in the US) is a 1984 Italian anthology drama film directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani based on short stories by Luigi Pirandello (1867–1936).
