In my full DA playthrough I’m back into Veilguard. This is my third playthrough of this game. I went Shadow Dragon warrior this time, first playthrough as either.

My Rook is so preeeetttyyyy. She looks great in the Hawke armor too.

In previous games I romanced Bellara and Davrin. I think it’s Neve’s turn now!

Making a couple new choices this game. Saving Minrathus, choosing Davrin to lead on Tearstone Island.

In Trespasser behind some of the library areas you can find orbs. Nobody comments on this but I had to stop this playthrough.

What must the Inquisitor be thinking in this moment? This object that destroyed her old life, set her on a completely new and terrifying path, and currently is almost certainly killing her.. and here’s a couple just laying on the ground. Forgotten. Next to some small fen'harel and mythal statues.

How strange her life has gotten in the three-ish years since she touched that first orb. And how much she still doesn’t understand.

Playing through Trespasser again, and this time keeping my party as Cole, Dorian and Iron Bull (Dorian and Iron Bull are a couple). This is a *peak* party for banter.

We got to the library and Cole has this great exchange! I so wish the Inquisitor could chime in here!

Cole: The Veil isn’t real. It’s false, fake, fabricated to forbid. Isn’t it wonderful?

Iron Bull: “Wonderful” isn’t the word I would’ve chosen. No wonder my people are shitting themselves about this place.

Dorian: I was thinking “alarming,” personally.

Cole: It means I belong here! Helping, healing the hurt! I’m not a wrong thing, a wreck, a ruin. I’m what I should be!

Cole: (sighs) Solas understands.

Dorian: I imagine he would understand, if he were here. Shame he ran off.

Iron Bull: Or he would, if he were here. His loss for taking off.

Cole: He doesn’t want me to follow, but I can almost feel him here. All new, faded for her.

Ah Cole, he still doesn’t give it away! And I do like how Dorian and Iron Bull sound exasperated at Solas but they don’t speak of him cruely.

Why did they use this asset here?? It is a coincidence it has the Dalish glass like my main game chocies??

Inquisitor Week - Day 2 - The Herald of Andraste

Some explanation: For Dhavi, the title Herald is as much a prison as the shackles she wakes up in at the beginning of the game. It’s dismissive of her beliefs, and in trying to turn her into a Chosen One for a god she doesn’t worship, it ignores her as a person. Consider this a view of what people see when they call her “Herald” in the background vs. what she associates the title with in the foreground.

I very much have a theme with this character- change, resilience, remembrance, resistance.

Flower- poppies, spring/summer wildflowers, pop of color and vibrance. Remembrance too, for those gone.

Weather- a sunny spring day just when the weather has turned from winter. Very much thinking of change and resilience, rebirth, hope

Color- moss greens, evergreen and hardy

Food- sourdough and butter, this says home and comfort to me. A staple, quietly sophisticated

Beverage- lavender gin, refreshing, deep herbal flavors

Animal- red wing blackbird, spring and change, they can symbolize protection

Place- a hidden spring, a moment of peace, hidden depths

Object- Elvhen statue, remembrance of the past, longing for home, resilience to change

What always intrigued me about the storyline with a romanced Solas is that Lavellan was so close to finding out the truth.

She must have had some suspicions before, but she never pushed him for the truth. She gave him time to open up on his own terms, to share when he was ready, which we know he almost did in Crestwood.

I wonder about the demons he fought in his head, the times duty came before love, while at the same time she made him question everything.

Such a tragic lovestory and no I’m still not over it it. :(

And here she is at the end. Sorry Fiadh Lavellan.. its good you’re resilient.

Ya know.. the first time years ago, I played Inquisition blind and romanced Solas. I really expected.. something.. from this end scene. A note.. I thought there might be a note. After all.. he promised all would be made clear. And nothing was clear.

And I’m still a little peeved from when I found out that other romances have repeatable scenes and also your inquisitor isn’t alone at the end 😭 So jealous!

I love this beautiful scene.. the shrine and flowers.

And of course the heartbreak and being unable to talk to Solas about any of it. He won’t talk about *any* of the vast revelations Lavellan has been going through.

In this slow, meandering Inquisition playthrough I finally bit the bullet and talked to Solas after Temple of Mythal. Somehow.. somehow.. every time I do this I have a small hopeful thought.. maybe I can convince him this time.. maybe it can be different.

But we all know Orpheus always turns around.

Ah.. but how they turn to each other.. how close they are.

This scene.. so charming! Honestly exactly what I hoped for a date for these two.. a gorgeous nighttime walk to a waterfall!

It didn’t have to end like this..

I haven’t really been following along with the Solavellan Valentine events. But it seems I, by complete accident, have correlated perfectly with this week’s.

“Shared Breath” I think? It’s still very much a wip, I doubt I’ll get it done in time
