one aspect that can really help with this is having as solid of a base as you can manage before the puppeteering.

of course, the headmate can and inevitably will grow and change from this base form over time once they become sentient.

but before that? having the most detailed base you can of the headmate, especially in how this headmate is different from you, can help the process be moreso puppeteering than regular daydreaming. regular daydreaming usually involves yourself and how you would react and feel. so, having a solid detailed base that includes how they would react and feel, can really help in making the process feel less like yourself.

a headmate can become and be anything, including being someone different from who they were intended to be.

it’s just also, that requires sentience and sapience. which the headmate won’t have at this point. so having a very specific idea of them is fine.

If I make a tulpa of one of my fiction kintypes (Kureo Mado)

Will he be confused who’s the real one? Or is it okay because I’m not physically Kureo Mado i just have his soul? And he doesn’t have my soul, he’s just gonna the body of Kureo Mado?

I can even give him a diff name and a completely different personality, if it helps.

But probs not diff personality bc I’m no longer like Kureo Mado in this life personality wise.

But will he be confused? Or is it a bad idea for another reason (if so, comment what that is)

will a kureo mado tulpa created by a kureo mado kinnie feel like shit even if we have jack shit in common and are both Kureo Mado in different ways?

yes

no

Edit: BTW if you come here to say tulpamancy is “wrong” or “impossible” imma just block you bc i already have successfully made a tulpa, I just want another.

this is where i wouldn’t really have a say. like i said, using willomancy and forming willogenic alters on your own is a very personal journey. i don’t have tips for anybody on starting to form willogenic alters or using willomancy /because/ it is so personal. i recommend looking at other willogenic system’s pages, reading articles, etc.. but i don’t have any personal tips ;^_^

So, we finally got Durin to form and it was certainly something. Despite being frontlocked currently sometimes new splits can bypass that lock so he got into front with us.

Let me tell you, Albedo like genuinely started tearing up and hugging him tightly. It was honestly pretty heartwarming since Albedo had been having all those heavy feelings about missing him and all. And now they’ve been inseparable. Albedo is still holding Durin close and won’t let go of him.

Definitely don’t regret creating Durin at all. And thankfully this time there was no extended limbo section of his creation unlike our last fully willogenic part.

ngl i think the best way i could ever explain willogenic systems to somebody is like.

you know how the difference between final fusion and functional multiplicity is a matter of perspective and such? since there aren’t any dissociative barriers, but it is still fine to consider yourself a system even if there aren’t any barriers. and you being a system is a respected form of being, you can fully recover from your issues and still be a system.

it’s kinda like that, but someone doesn’t need prior experience to think of themselves as plural. and it most often is a coping mechanism too, which makes it easier for some to have headmates. it’s just like, consciously done on purpose.

i can explain more in it but like. that’s the basis.

Hello there anon! That’s lovely to hear I think this is a great idea, it’s always lovely to see progress and positivity blogs for different types of created systems. We’ve seen them for tulpamancers but none for willomancy yet, so that’s even better! We wish you and your new headmate well!

giggling at these tulpamancy or willomancy guides built for newbies like “are you SURE you want to spend the REST OF YOUR LIFE with ANOTHER ENTITY???” “This is PERMANENT and CANNOT BE UNDONE” “take GOOD CARE because THEY ARE REAL are you SURE you can handle the RESPONSIBILITY”

me, a seasoned pro with like 80 other involuntary (and plenty voluntary) additions to my brain: gang I dunno maybe I’m not cut out for this after all 😥😥😥

Edit;; we have sent a request to someone who offered to help. Ty

Tried posting this on bah central but there was no luck so I’m posting this here since the situation has gotten worse.

“Would any bah blogs be comfortable doing a detailed emergency request of two alters? They’re specifically from No Country For Old Men but you don’t have to know the source very well, you can just look at a wiki link I can provide for you”

Ah, it’s kind of hard to explain our spiritual origins? We’re not quite sure about them ourselves, but we’re confident that we are not a part of the soulbonding community.

If you want to add someone to your system, however, we’d recommend looking into willomancy or tulpamancy, the process of willing a headmate into existence! We know it’s quite common for systems to use willomancy to create headmates to fill specific roles or just to help.

There’s tons of tulpa/willomancy guides in those spaces, but if you want to learn more, here’s the pluralpedia pages for them! Tulpamancy Willogenic

Just looking through the tumblr tags for the communities will probably bring up a few guides! Happy searching :D

If you do actually want to learn about our spiritual origins, we’ll put it below a cut :3

The terms we use specifically are cosmagenic and lostsoulgenic, linked in our intro post.

Essentially, we believe in alternate realities, similar to how reality shifters do (however our beliefs aren’t exactly the same. we don’t (personally) think it is possible to transfer/switch souls with yourself in another world. honestly though reality shifters are super dedicated so we respect them). These realities are both ones we know of (fictional settings such as animes or book series in our world) and ones we know nothing of.

Our belief is that after death, spirits or souls are formed. The vast majority of spirits fade away, usually quite soon after death, but some stick around, causing ghosts and paranormal activity. Some worlds make it easier or harder for ghosts to form, and if a person is especially attached to consciousness or is very strong-willed, their spirit will stick around for longer

Some spirits also gain the ability to traverse realities. For instance, a spirit that is extremely fond of a particular media might find their spirit travelling to that reality after death. Whether they remember their past life or not depends. This is also how fictionkins and systems form (again, just our belief) - the spirit of a fictional character may wander and become attached to a body. Sometimes the spirit becomes the only body inhabitant, possibly merging with the original one, causing singlet fictionkins. Sometimes multiple spirits become attached to one body, causing - you guessed it! - systems to form

Some factors can make it more likely for spirits to become attracted to a body, such as the original spirit subconsciously crying out for help due to trauma being sustained, and spirits (consciously or not) responding and becoming attached. This is what we think happened with us - we were quite lonely as a child, and felt alienated due to things like undiagnosed mental illness. Our MaDD caused our mind to become more open to spirits and some wandering spirits desired to help and became attached.

This is also why we are non-disordered and work so well together! The vast majority of us joined the body to help, and retain that desire. This origin applies to basically all of our headmates, even (especially) our brainmades. Honestly our fictives were probably just brought in by us being very not normal about them LMAO

Anyway yeah. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to infodump about this! Hopefully the info we gave you helps ^_^

Headmate creation things for people who struggle with imagination and visualization!

  • Create a list of all the traits and habits you want them to have. You can use a list of traits for inspiration, or think about various characters and what you like about them.
  • ^ Read the list to them daily.
  • ^ Write about the pros and cons of each trait / habit. This can be very down to Earth.
  • Pick specific times you’ll work on headmate creation. For example, you could decide that while you brush your teeth you will mentally narrate (/direct your thoughts) to them.
  • Have physical associations! For example, have a specific sound or piece of music you play before you do longer (creation) sessions.
  • When reading or watching, watch the characters for things your headmate would also do.
  • Repeat affirmations daily. For example, “I have a headmate named [x]”, “headmate creation is easy for me”, etc. This can help a lot with keeping a positive attitude.

Creative things to do when creating a headmate!

  • Write about them!
  • ^ Pick one of their (personality) traits and do a timed writing (or drawing) session about it.
  • ^ Use a random word generator and connect it to them. Through a story / scene, or writing about what that word means to them / how it relates to them / etc.
  • Try doing a journal entry or stream of consciousness from their perspective.
  • Write a review (on anything) as if you were them.
  • Write a to-do list as them. Is it messy and vague, clean and exact, strange??? Or their calendar and agenda.
  • Write them a letter.
  • Write a letter from them.
  • Fill in an OC sheet for them.
  • Write out a text conversation between the two of you. This could be imagining what a conversation would be like if they had their own body (and phone) or what a message exchange through Simply Plural or notes would look like.
  • Imagine their physical and mental presence with you throughout the day. What do they smell like? What do they sound like as they travel with you throughout the day?
  • ^ If visualising them in their true form is too much, imagine them as a ball of light following you.
  • Imagine them in different outfits and clothes.
  • Use a random object generator. For each item, ask a different question. What’s their reaction to being handed that item? What’s their reaction to that item being thrown at them? How would they feel if they were gifted this item? If they were shopping, would they buy it?
  • Use a random scenarios generator and visualize each prompt.
  • Rather than simply narrate your life to them, you can try doing it with a twist. Talk to them like you’re the newscaster, or you’re performing a play, or you’re on a podcast. Try to get in character!
  • Throughout the day imagine that you’re them. Think not only about how they would act, but how they think and feel.
  • Pick a book and read it as them. What’s their perspective on the topics of the book?

have a good idea for a personality, and come up with planned scenarios to put that specific headmate through that shows their personality.

ideally, as many different scenarios as you can think up of.

during the early stages, the headmate is moreso a puppet than a person. and in order to get a really good idea of what they would be like, puppet them through as many scenarios as you can.

put them in any real scenario. put them in any fictional world. put them in situations and puppet them through.

that’s also why having a good basis of knowing who they’re going to be helps.

such as, you want a nice headmate?

in what situations are they nice in? are they always nice in the same way? if no, when is it different? are there situations in which they wouldn’t be nice? explore every single situation and how they specifically would react.

puppet them through it all.

and yeah, this does take time. plenty of time. but having a good idea of personality and puppeteering them through situations, eventually gets to a point where the headmate starts to have opinions on how the situation should go. or opinions on the situation itself.
