I had the idea very early on, before I’d really settled in a niche; I don’t even think I’d really played much of the game and was going off early-adopter videos/streams, and TVTropes. Granted I did add more to it over time (especially the ‘requirements’), a few early ideas made the cut where maybe they shouldn’t have, but are still pretty critical to the whole picture and thus hard to change out.
Although I POSTED it after 1.03, I had it written up in my doc well before then, since I originally wrote it up to be an extension of Psalm’s purpose (before cutting her out of it, because heaven forbid a self-insert be given an important role in anything /hj).
I’m not sure what I wanna do with it now, since I only have the vaguest of visual ideas for what the various final entities look like (like Celestial Choir, and the Preservers of Humanity, but also other things), but I’m also in a burnout slump where I’m having a hard time working on more involved pieces within my comfort zone, much less coming up with brand new designs for very beloved characters.
[[MORE]]The fandom’s growing a bit quickly now, and people are getting very opinionated about how their favs are depicted, and I’m definitely not brave enough to tread those waters atm, seeing how people are beginning to act (new monster forms? Safe. But this technically would require coming up with human versions and/or revealed faces for characters, which is turning into very unwelcoming and borderline dangerous territory).
I feel like I’d rather just leave it as a written thing to plant the idea in people’s heads and let them imagine what that’d look like with Their Preferred Headcanon Designs, but that’s a great way to get overlooked and eventually dusted under the rug (which is how I feel about my other attempts to write things, which is why I don’t write more).
But at the same time, I wanna just show that I’ve had these ideas for a while, so that if I ever DO get around to doing something - anything - with it, people don’t just accuse me of Copying That Other More Popular Artist’s Idea Because They Were Still Drawing While I Was Burned Out.
I already get frustrated when artists with more visibility than me just Happen to draw something I tried that didn’t do well when I did it, I don’t need the frustration of people assuming I copied them on top of that…

This frustration is all posturing at the end of the day; going back into my archives, I always seem to run into these slumps around the Late July - October corridor every year, so it’s probably cyclical/hormonal and only exacerbated by surrounding activity sort of building up bad feelings, with my life situation determining whether or not they start bogging me down earlier or later.
Whether or not people continue to support me as I go through it/hang around once I get over it determines if I stick around and pick up where I left off, or move on.
