I am Dr. Mohammed Al-Khatib, a consultant psychiatrist. I was asked by patient Ibrahim Abu Rukhiyeh to explain his case on Tumblr. Ibrahim suffers from a chronic mental illness, namely obsessive-compulsive disorder with severe depression. Ibrahim’s condition is worsening every day, and I told him he couldn’t live for more than a month because he wasn’t taking his medication regularly. I asked him why he wasn’t taking his medication, and he told me he relies on donations for his income, and when he didn’t receive any donations, he couldn’t afford his medication.“

if you can donate, please do. prices (for necessities; food, water, medicine, surgery and basic, lifesaving care, etcetera) are sky-high and no person can possibly support themselves and their families without your support. many families also need to evacuate Gaza to survive, which also holds a steep price.
