Renfrewshire continues to be a favourite backdrop for film and TV productions—and the past 48 hours have proven just how popular our area remains with location scouts and producers.
On Tuesday, cameras rolled at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in Paisley and a nearby church, with a full day’s filming taking place under very tight wraps. But it was Wednesday that brought a…

Exploring NYC: The Nicholas Roerich Museum, February 2025
I just discovered that this little museum existed, and it’s an absolute GEM!

These five paintings remind me so much of my late Little Gray Roommate when I’d stay with her in our “deluxe apartment in the sky” on the upper west side (NYC). Some of the best times in my life were during that time 💗🐈⬛💗 I took these photos of her during some of my stays 🏙️
(I can’t seem to find the name of the artist so if anyone knows, please DM me)

Literary NYC: The Location Where Edgar Allan Poe Wrote “The Raven” (September 2024)
Sometimes I stumble upon literary landmarks in New York City. Sometimes I have a specific landmark in mind, I check online to confirm where it is, and then I go there to take some pictures so I can create a post.
There are plenty of plaques around the city, but I remembered this one specifically because of the cool bird statue that was next to it. So, I got to the corner of Broadway & 84th Street, saw some scaffolding, and wondered if the whole area around the corner by the building entrance was also blocked off.
Bad news: the scaffolding was everywhere, and you couldn’t see the building AT ALL.

Good news: I found an old picture that I took of the plaque and the statue years ago. So, just imagine that one day the scaffolding will be down, and THIS will be visible again!
