Hi, lovely! 💛
This question actually made me realize I should probably talk about THOTL around here, huh?
I’ve always been really into historical societies. Like, borderline obsessed. We tend to get a lot wrong about the past, and I’ve always loved digging into what life was actually like back then. How people lived, loved, believed, survived, etc.
I also have a very vivid imagination and a bad habit of letting my hyperfixations crash into each other.
So, one thing led to another, and suddenly I was imagining lestappen in a viking-ish setting… and once that idea got stuck in my head, I knew I had to write it.
From there, the world pretty naturally became omegaverse. Not just because it fit the vibe, but because it let me play with themes I’ve been interested in forever.
I also knew right away that I didn’t want to write an omegaverse where everything is already fixed and unquestioned. A lot of omegaverse fics (especially in the F1 fandom) can be very rigid.
I wanted to push back against that a bit and build a world where those dynamics exist, sure, but aren’t set in stone.
I also have… way too many ideas. Like, an unreasonable amount. My brain never sticks to one setting for long. I’ve got millions of half-baked concepts sitting in my notes that range from medieval europe to ancient greece. I genuinely love exploring different cultures, belief systems, and ways of life.
There’s just something really fun about taking familiar characters and throwing them into worlds with totally different social rules.
Building lore, imagining what people believe in, what they fear, how they act… that’s honestly my favorite part of writing.
