Why is my work room always a mess with random cat beds and fabrics scattered around? The answer is simple - I am studying my 7 cats to see what they gravitate towards, and interact with, different textures & plushness (thick vs thin)! Their behaviors help me figure out how to make our products more cat approved and much less rejected than the store bought ones. Two of my most popular hat designs have been the Simple Cable Beanie and the Aran Messy Bun Hat - so it’s quite the puzzle that it took me so long to think of combining elements of them both to make the Simple Cable Messy Bun Hat! 😄
But here it is, ready for test knitting 😀

The sample hats here were knit in @quinceandco Lark (only 1 skein required), but any worsted or Aran weight yarn should work well. The hats were knit in the round on 5mm circular needles 🙂
