I think I just saw someone complain about how Kou’s character development is stunted by Mitsukou? So I need to go on a tangent.

Kou is an exorcist who challenges his family’s traditional beliefs that all supernatural are bad. One of the biggest ways he challenges that belief is by being in love with Mitsuba, who is a supernatural. The world is not built for a human and a supernatural to stay together because humans age and die while supernaturals stay the same, so Kou wants to become a supernatural to stay with Mitsuba. But if he does, he will lose his friends and family because his some of his friends cannot see the supernatural and his family hates the supernatural. Kou also looks up to his older brother and wants to make him proud by becoming a strong exorcist just like him. But to be a proper exorcist, he would have to exorcise Mitsuba in cold blood.

NEED I GO ON. Tell me how that adds nothing of value to his character. Also bonus question tell me how that doesn’t have gay subtext

Yep! The entity needs hosts to get what it wants, and Tsukasa willingly allows himself to do this without resistance. At least in the realities we’ve seen so far.

The entity uses him as bait to obtain more victims, but if we’re talking about the yorishiro Tsukasa, perhaps there’s something more. Something he needs to do for the entity that we don’t yet know.

For now, the idea is to remove all the seals, perhaps to free the creature. Tsukasa will disappear when this happens, but nothing guarantees that the same will happen to the entity.

Even if one day there isn’t a Tsukasa for the entity to possess, it will use other people.

In short, there’s an imminent possibility that Tsukasa will disappear soon (albeit temporarily), and when that happens the entity will still exist, but we don’t know if it will be freed or if it will seek another host, or if it will use Amane, who apparently is also a host (in the reality where he’s a ghost).

Ahh, I don’t know, but I imagine it will be sometime this year. Aida is still able to publish illustrations, which means her health is improving. I hope she can return to normal activities soon.

And I believe so, JSHK has become quite popular in a short time. We not only have a second season with 24 episodes, but also the animation of After School Hanako-kun, which is a spinoff, in addition to including an animated episode of an event held on Twitter by Aidairo, meaning they used most of the already published material as raw material for the animations.

After School Hanako-kun also has two seasons.

It’s quite rare to see this happen with less popular manga, so I believe there will be another season, but only when everything returns to normal, Aida’s health and the return of new chapters.

JSHK is doing very well in sales, so it’s very likely we’ll see more in the future. The continuation of the anime depends on when the manga chapters return.
