This carbon-fiber cowl fits in place of the small, plastic pop-out master cylinder inspection cover located just below the windshield where high-pressure air is trapped and diverted across the intercooler

Safety and reliability is further enhanced with an intercooler package. KraftWerks knew that their customers wanted an intercooler, but we also knew that they weren’t interested in ditching their fog lights or chopping up their front bumpers just to get a front-mount intercooler to fit. KraftWerks’ solution is a cowl mounted air-to-air intercooler system that mounts neatly under the hood in-between the throttle body and radiator.  The intercooler is fed cold air from a provided carbon fiber intercooler cowl. The cowl fits just below the windshield where high-pressure air is trapped and diverts cold airflow across the intercooler. The entire kit bolts on without any cutting or permanent modifications to the vehicle and includes provisions for both the intake air temperature sensor and the supercharger bypass valve.

Audi Q7 SUV Price – Features, Mileage, Colours & Photos

When luxury meets performance and practicality, the 2019 Audi Q7 stands tall as one of the most sought-after midsize luxury SUVs. Blending Audi’s signature design language with advanced technology, a plush interior, and strong performance, the Q7 delivers a driving experience that is both elegant and powerful. For families who want space, tech enthusiasts who love innovation, and drivers who crave performance, the 2019 Audi Q7 is a near-perfect fit.

In this comprehensive guide, we will dive deep into every aspect of the 2019 Audi Q7 including its design, interior features, performance, safety technologies, fuel efficiency, and ownership costs. Whether you are considering buying one or simply want to know more about this luxury SUV, this detailed exploration will give you everything you need.

Exterior Design and Styling

The 2019 Audi Q7 continues Audi’s tradition of understated elegance. Unlike some luxury SUVs that go overboard with flashy styling, the Q7 leans into a more refined aesthetic. Its bold yet minimalist design makes it versatile, whether parked at a high-end hotel or driving through city streets.

The front fascia features Audi’s signature Singleframe grille, which is wide, commanding, and accented by horizontal chrome slats. Sharp LED headlights with a sleek daytime running light signature add a modern edge. The long hood and sculpted body lines emphasize strength, while subtle curves maintain a sense of sophistication.

From the side, the Q7’s proportions reveal its practicality. A relatively low roofline for an SUV gives it a sporty stance, while long doors make entry and exit convenient. Alloy wheel options range from 18 to 21 inches, giving owners flexibility between comfort and performance-focused designs.

At the rear, the LED taillights are connected by a chrome strip, reinforcing the SUV’s width. Dual exhaust outlets add a sporty flavor, and the power-operated tailgate makes life easier for families with hands full of shopping bags or luggage. Overall, the 2019 Audi Q7 strikes a balance between luxury and subtle aggression.

Interior Comfort and Quality

Step inside the 2019 Audi Q7, and you are greeted with one of the most luxurious and tech-focused cabins in its class. Audi has always been known for its interiors, and the Q7 demonstrates that expertise flawlessly.

The cabin features high-quality materials, including leather upholstery, aluminum trim, and soft-touch plastics. The dashboard design is clean and driver-centric, with well-integrated screens and easy-to-reach controls. Seats are plush, supportive, and available with heating, ventilation, and even massage functions in higher trims.

The Q7 comes standard as a three-row SUV, offering seating for up to seven passengers. The first two rows are exceptionally spacious, with ample headroom and legroom. The third row, while best suited for children or shorter trips, adds versatility for larger families.

Cargo space is competitive for its class. With all three rows in place, you get enough room for a few grocery bags. Fold down the third row, and space expands significantly, accommodating luggage for long trips. With both the second and third rows folded, the Q7 transforms into a cargo-hauling machine, offering nearly 72 cubic feet of space.

Technology and Infotainment

Audi packed the 2019 Q7 with cutting-edge technology, making it one of the smartest SUVs of its time.

The centerpiece of the cabin is the MMI infotainment system, displayed on an 8.3-inch screen. Controlled by a rotary dial and touchpad on the center console, the system is intuitive once you get the hang of it. It includes navigation, smartphone integration, and voice control.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, making it easy to connect your phone. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, is available on higher trims. It replaces traditional analog gauges with a customizable digital screen that can show maps, audio information, and driving data in crisp detail.

For audiophiles, the 2019 Q7 offers an optional Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system, delivering crystal-clear sound throughout the cabin. Multiple USB ports, wireless charging, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability keep everyone connected on long trips. Rear-seat passengers can also enjoy entertainment options, with available dual screens mounted behind the front seats.

Performance and Driving Dynamics

Performance has always been a hallmark of Audi vehicles, and the 2019 Q7 is no exception. It strikes a fine balance between comfort and sportiness, making it a joy to drive in various conditions.

Two engine options are available:

  1. 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This engine is efficient and provides adequate power for daily driving, city commutes, and light highway cruising.
  2. 3.0-liter supercharged V6 delivering 329 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This option offers a noticeable performance upgrade, with quicker acceleration and stronger passing power.

Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system, ensuring confident handling in all weather conditions.

On the road, the Q7 feels composed and agile despite its size. The available adaptive air suspension allows drivers to adjust ride height and firmness, offering a smooth, cushioned ride on highways and a sportier feel on twisty roads. Steering is precise, and body roll is well-controlled for an SUV of this size.

When properly equipped, the Q7 can tow up to 7,700 pounds, making it versatile for hauling trailers, boats, or campers.

Fuel Efficiency

Fuel efficiency varies depending on the engine you choose. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine offers better fuel economy, making it a smart choice for those who prioritize efficiency. On average, it delivers around 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The 3.0-liter V6, while more powerful, is slightly less efficient, averaging around 19 mpg combined. Given the size, power, and capability of the Q7, these figures are competitive with other luxury midsize SUVs in the market.

Safety Features

Audi takes safety seriously, and the 2019 Q7 is packed with advanced features to protect both driver and passengers.

Standard safety features include multiple airbags, stability control, traction control, and a rearview camera. Higher trims or optional packages add advanced driver-assistance systems such as:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality.
  • Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist for safer highway driving.
  • Blind-Spot Monitoring to prevent collisions during lane changes.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition for real-time updates on speed limits and road signs.
  • 360-degree Camera System to assist with tight parking spots.
  • Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection.

The 2019 Audi Q7 also scored high in crash-test ratings, making it a reliable choice for families.

Trim Levels and Options

The 2019 Audi Q7 is offered in three main trims: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

  • Premium: The base model, yet well-equipped with leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, and MMI infotainment.
  • Premium Plus: Adds features like Bose audio, advanced driver-assistance systems, and Audi Virtual Cockpit.
  • Prestige: The top trim, loaded with luxury amenities like the Bang & Olufsen sound system, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, and ventilated front seats.

Audi also allows for plenty of customization through standalone options and packages, letting buyers tailor the SUV to their exact preferences.

Ownership Costs and Reliability

Owning a luxury SUV like the 2019 Audi Q7 comes with certain costs. Maintenance and repair expenses are higher compared to non-luxury brands, but Audi’s build quality ensures durability when properly maintained.

Insurance rates vary depending on your driving history and location but tend to be slightly higher for luxury vehicles. Fuel and tire costs also add up, especially if you opt for larger wheel sizes.

That said, the Q7 holds its value reasonably well and appeals to buyers in the pre-owned market due to its reputation for luxury and performance. Audi also offers a competitive warranty covering four years or 50,000 miles, giving owners peace of mind.

Competitors of the 2019 Audi Q7

The luxury midsize SUV segment is highly competitive, and the Q7 faces rivals such as:

  • BMW X5: Known for sporty handling and strong engine options.
  • Mercedes-Benz GLE: Offers plush interiors and advanced tech.
  • Volvo XC90: Focused on Scandinavian design and safety features.
  • Lexus RX L: Prioritizes reliability and comfort.
  • Land Rover Discovery: Emphasizes off-road capability with luxury features.

Among these, the Q7 stands out for its balance between luxury, technology, and performance, making it a versatile choice.

Pros and Cons of the 2019 Audi Q7

Pros:

  • Luxurious and high-quality interior.
  • Advanced technology and Virtual Cockpit.
  • Smooth and comfortable ride with adaptive suspension.
  • Quattro all-wheel drive for all-weather confidence.
  • Strong towing capacity.

Cons:

  • Third-row seating is tight for adults.
  • Higher ownership costs compared to mainstream SUVs.
  • Infotainment system has a learning curve.

Is the 2019 Audi Q7 Worth Buying in 2025?

Even though newer models have since been released, the 2019 Audi Q7 remains a compelling option in the used luxury SUV market. Its timeless design, luxurious interior, and advanced features ensure it still competes with modern vehicles. With proper maintenance, it offers excellent value for buyers who want a premium SUV without the brand-new price tag.

Conclusion

The 2019 Audi Q7 successfully blends performance, technology, and luxury into a package that appeals to a wide range of buyers. Whether you are a family needing space, a tech enthusiast seeking innovation, or a driver who values performance, the Q7 delivers in nearly every department. Its refined design, powerful engine options, and wealth of safety features make it a standout in the luxury midsize SUV market.
