Familiarity with the artist: never heard of them

Background Knowledge:

• fourth studio album by Serbian-born musician and producer Suba, released September 27th, 1999

Interesting Info:

• core musicians on the album are then 21-year-old vocalist Cibelle, and veteran percussionist João Parahyba; additional musicians include mangue band Mestre Ambrósio, and guitarists Roberto Frejat, Edgard Scandurra of Ira!, and André Geraissatti, and vocalists Katia B., Taciana, Joana Jones and Arnaldo Antunes.
• Suba died just a few days after the release of the album from smoke inhalation after his studio caught fire and he tried to rescue new recording material

Final Review: electronic bossa nova? okay sure! nice sound overall, good background music but nothing really stood out to me, which is why i don’t have listening notes or favorite tracks for this album. but it’s alright for some chill background music- i like the reviews that called this 90s wine bar music lol

Nido ain’t goin anywhere. I think Nido embodies a good chunk of my more serious/realistic side. Suba/Java I think better represents my expressiveness.

Nido to Java, Earth to Fire I suppose is a good way to see it metaphorically methinks!

This was something that started off as a kind of random design I wanted to work on.
While I was working on this though, it gave me vibes that reminded me of one of my friends, so I offered them to them to use as a possible avatar/-sona.

So…here is the new look for my friend @subakuryu.
