Summary:

Sinestro laid a hand on Hal’s knee at some point during the night, and though his internal body temperature was cooler than a human’s, it felt like a warm brand against Hal’s skin. They were each in their civvies, their uniforms having long been dismissed under the darkness of the evening. Though Hal knew Sinestro wouldn’t admit to such a ‘weakness,’ neither of them wanted to have to squint against the emerald glow of the uniform while they were off-duty.

Hal didn’t mind the hand resting on his knee. In fact, it felt kind of…nice. A reminder that Sinestro wasn’t the frigid asshole he used to be in the early days of Hal’s training, that he now had some sort of affection toward Hal now the same way Hal’s Air Force pals used to. 

Before he knew it, Sinestro’s hand had slid a few inches so that it was properly on his thigh now, not his knew. A couple minutes later, Hal managed to land another well-timed joke, and as Sinestro laughed again, his hand again slid up just a few inches more up Hal’s thigh, dangerously close to…

Or: The Greatest Green Lantern Sinestro makes a move on rookie Hal. Hal doesn’t take it well.

i Can’t say what i think should’ve happened to sinestro in the issues he appeared in hal’s spectre run but Also maybe he wouldn’t have chosen to go to hell if he had gotten to be in the middle of two (or more) hal jordans. have we considered that

my sinhal mindpalace vision posting yet again and i wholeheartedly believe that sinestro is the masochist in this relationship. it’s easy to call hal a masochist, stemming from his self-hatred and all, but i think he’d struggle to derive any kind of pleasure from the pain he experiences- it would just push him further into self loathing, with his fear of failure and losing of control, a fight where he gets beaten can’t be pleasurable for him, it’s his job. it might be Enjoyable for him, as he loves adrenaline (and enjoys CONFLICT), maybe viewing it as a punishment might make it a positive for him. SINESTRO on the other we know likes fighting barehanded. he initiates his fights with hal and enjoys them- even when he loses, hal is merely a participant that ends up causing the other pain. when you take into account that little tidbit that the ultimate pleasure to a korugarian is being near death, his ego and displeasure at getting beaten would just be overshadowed by the pleasure he’d simultaneously experience from it. sinestro finds the very idea of them torturing each other for all eternity “delightful”.

Headcanon:

Korugarians show affection with playful nudges or head-bumps (friendly head touches!! As a greeting!!), and do bite affectionately at times, little playful nips at shoulders, arms, whatever. Despite their sharp teeth they are very careful not to wound each other- this is a skill learned in childhood, generally with siblings as they learn first-hand what biting too hard looks like.

Throat bites are a distinctly close and intimate thing for their people, like kissing on Earth- and there’s a reason for that! Korugarians have many feline-like attributes from their ancestors, and one of which is an affinity for a lethal bite to the neck. A Korugarian in a life-or-death fight, absent of weapons, will resort to that instinctively. Thus, baring your neck to your partner is a big sign of trust and vulnerability.

Generally these bites are very gentle and not really made with the intent of leaving marks. What Sinestro and Hal have going on is just… a special case.

Sinhal thought on the back of that “Sin likes enclosed spaces” headcanon:

Sinestro + Hal get trapped in some kind of cave-in or rubble and they are stuck. Very close together. Hal is genuinely freaking out his claustrophobia kicks in immediately and he’s very upset. Sinestro is mildly annoyed with the situation but also kinda happy in his own way that he’s close to Hal. He’s not worried. Hal freaking out is a bit of a problem though.

Ohhh thank you for giving me the chance to talk about them, let me think.

For Sin specifically:

- I think he can’t really sing well (by Korugar’s standards) BUT Sin can play an instrument, something akin to a harp. Like him being a good dancer, this isn’t really something that ever comes up but he does like the sound of it and does feel some pride in his ability to do so.

- I got to thinking about Sin the archeologist and now I think he’d like small + dark spaces a lot… the exact opposite of Hal (super claustrophobic) Sin likes it when he feels hidden- it’s not even a practical thing, it’s instinctual. It makes him feel cozy. He’s probably been in at least one cave-in in his life, he’d have had to get used to it.

- Sinestro has learned a lot of English over time and can communicate fairly well without the ring’s translator, but he can’t really read it. He finds this very frustrating.

And let’s see onto Sinhal my beloveds/beloatheds <3

- The reason Sinestro keeps holding people at construct-gunpoint in New52 is because Hal showed him a bunch of action movies like Die Hard and now Sinestro has learned what a standoff-at-gunpoint looks like. Good job Hal. Contrary to the belief of some I do think Sinestro would like some Earth movies (whether or not he would admit it) like he would enjoy Star Wars. (Also it’s not remotely lining up like… time-wise but Sinestro would love the Dune movies. I feel this in my heart).

- Hal bites him back okay. There is no way he doesn’t I think it should be talked about more.

- Ooo wait okay okay a very dear headcanon to me is that the presence of every different color corp like… feels different to be around. Someone holds Hal’s hand and they immediately feel strong, and energized, like his will has been split between them. Someone standing near Sinestro might be suddenly alert, a little rattled- if he touches you, you get this electric-shock feeling, and a chill down your spine. It’s strongest when interacting with other ring-bearers, the sensations of their different shields blurring together. All this to say, Hal and Sin are extremely familiar with the feeling of their shield’s ‘mixing’ for lack of a better term, and they find it comforting In Spite Of It All. They can recognize each other’s presence completely by the sense of their shields alone- so it’s actually very difficult for either of them to do any sort of stealth attack upon each other.

- Hal’s allowed to touch Sin pretty much everywhere a solid 90% of the time EXCEPT his neck. Because of Reasons. Sin can bite Hal’s throat any time he wants Hal usually doesn’t care, but if Hal even just kinda wants to kiss him a little bit on his neck that involves some negotiation.

Unless they are choking each other in the throes of battle cause that happens a lot too. That’s the exception.

I want Sinhal yellow lantern AU. Told from outsiders pov.

Like his brutal leader who like to sneak in and ordering everything in everyone life, who fuking possessives and dominant over the whole universe, actually have a very pretty boyfriend who everyone thought at first he going to be his time killing boy toy. But somehow this bitch get his leader to spoiled him so much, even do anything to please his puppy. I need to see how confused and awkward those guys might be. And the funny part is Sinestro still think he have every much dominance over Hal
