I’m exploiting the theme of fighter jets claws again. I like the idea that this is their common feature - and it makes some sense, because most fighter jets are named after birds of prey.
And Starscream got mixed up here, because it seems that he is the only one of the decepticons who at least didn’t confuse the stunticons in G1 with a group of autobots disguised as them.

Oh dear, I’m overwhelmed by having an influx of recent followers… I’d better post something controversial to scare some people away, such as: G1 Optimus Prime WOULD NOT be a good father as he is in the present! He fulfills a paternal sort of role for the troops but I know him too well to think he wouldn’t imbue his kids with 10,000 complexes each. Sure, he’d try really damn hard to the point of being self-sacrificial to a fault, but I know his guilty conscience (comics) or tendency to play favorites (cartoon) or even straight-up just his tendency to be exasperated and mean (BOTH) would end up hurting children unintentionally. I saw what Optimus did to the Aerialbots when he forced Silverbolt into a leadership role he didn’t want and that hurt the bot’s mental health for a while (IN BOTH CONTINUITIES) probably projecting and thinking of his own experiences and how he turned out fine <- top ten thoughts by bots who did not turn out fine, not to mention the other unfairness he put the Aerialbots through in the comics

Aerialbots in my AU.
The continuity is called: Transformers Aria.
Plot: Elita one, founder of aerialbots (aerial division of autobtos) is bitter and dissapoint after seekers get more superiority on air thank to the decepticons’s second combiner menasor. On the meeting with other Autobots higher ups, they have a conflict they need a combiner, some said don’t because combiner is bad for mental health. But then Elita agree. Leading votes to open the combiner project. She talk to every members of aerialbots who wants to volunteer on first combiner project of autobots. Result: no one wants to join. The reason are variable but mainly:
- The rumor that combiner Will lead to mental health and exposure of secrets.
- They are busy.
- Many were injured by menasor.
Then then asked jazz to make other non aerialbots to volunteer, the reason is same. Until five members from aerialbots volunteer. They are young, but also bunch of rag tag of misfits. A beastformers (hybridizor), an ex-decepticons seeker clone, a caminian insecticon, a terran (in disguise as a normal cybertronian), and a “slow” velocitronian.
Autobtos be likes “we cant do this, prime. They are unfit for this projects.”
Optimus prime had no choice. And Elita one reluctantly agree. They have no choice but to thrust this misfits teenagers to be the one that volunteer the first combiner project.
