📀ended way too early, definitely needed a few more seasons. i really liked this show. i’ve only watched it once, and i need to do another rewatch. i also think it came out before all of the conversations around did and suddenly everybody saying they have an alter system. her alter system felt very realistic, and she created alternate versions of herself to protect herself.
i think at the time i was watching it as a child, i really related to that. it was very sad watching her try to uncover what happened to her.

I think… now looking at it on a character manner (pls remember this is a POV and nothing to take personally!)
After liking this ship despice not having enough screentime nor interactions or the fact that they look so cute together (and my bias towards that one AU winks cutely) etc etc, I understand it now.
Caine is an AI with no soul, a machine that wants to be seen and loved, but despite his efforts, everyone seems to be pushed away by his wackyness. And Pomni, a human, an empathetic person that looks out for others, that does not want anyone to feel like they’re nothing.
If you put this two dynamics together, on how slowly knowing eachother Pomni can understand Caine and how she can make him feel loved and worth despise the obvious is… perfect to me. And it’s a reason that even thought it’s a “”“rare pair”“”, there’s potential.
