My old routine was to sit with my legs always crossed when I went to sit down in our really old recliner. That was definitely bad for my leg muscles or whatever. But now that I’m trying to break that habit, I have a new and equally bad habit. I keep pressing my right foot to my left leg, or vice versa. That sounds fun, you might say. But listen: I’m pressing a sock covered foot to a bare leg. I’m pretty sure I’m close to giving myself rashes because of this.
I still cross my legs a lot too, by the way. I know I probably shouldn’t, but I can’t help it. So most of the time my legs are either crossed or they’re brushing up against each other, and I don’t think either option is really all that pleasant to deal with. Risk a rash or constantly being cross legged. Either way, I’m going to be messing myself up in some way. But my brain can’t seem to think of any other seating positions.

It’s finally happening after a year of fiddling with meshes.

I didn’t like the way the stool (or any desk chair) sat so that Sims’ legs would be in the table legs, so I made it wider. It has the same guids as the one in the request thread. If you’d like the original size, you can find it in http://simpearls.co.uk/simpearls/index.php?topic=2015.msg24129#msg24129

I made a 1-storey version of the deco curtain, too.

After many trial and error attempts, the divider and tv unit have their slots at the right heights. Getting your deco into place is kind of funky, just start at one tile and “m” your way thru them. Each floor tile space manages 3 or 4 slots. I used the 3to2 Awesims Industrial shelf as a base (I think the conversion was from Clutter-a-holic.) and it has 14 slots.

Besides the new meshes I converted, there are recolors for 10panda’s conversions of all the lights/lamps in the original recolors. Recolors and edited meshes for CrazyDestinyFire’s conversions of the armchair, loveseat, and sofa. I fixed the subsets. In the originals, the full couch or chair obj file was there for each subset so I tore them apart and now you get just the cushion for the cushion recolors and just the frame for the frame recolors. Same guids and all, I only edited the obj part of the subsets. I made some recolors for all of them with moda fabrics and one or two frame recolors. I did the other original recolors that came with the set on mari/PaisleyAvenue’s wooden coffeetable mesh.

Above here are the plant colors and the floor lamp mesh and recolors. There are also a bunch of recolors for two of the pillows from Anye’s Good Life set. Curtains come with recolors of the same fabrics

in the original recolors. The shelf unit I used for a base had two subsets, so you can mix and match the shelf doors anyway you please with the four woods.

Wood Grass Chair by Joyce Lin
This plywood chair is one of a handful of mind-bending pieces by Houston-based designer Joyce Lin.
In an undeniable feat of engineering, Lin has managed to create furniture that looks as if it has been sliced from a single tree. She used a mixture of oil and acrylic paint, epoxy clay and raffia fibres to create the effect.
“In recent years, I’ve found myself losing track of where truth ends and fiction begins,” said Lin, whose deliberately uncanny work explores how we impact the environment.
“The natural and human-made, too, have merged into one bizarre and unpredictable landscape.”
Lin’s pieces will be on display in a solo exhibition at R & Company in New York City, which opens on 7 November.

6 best ergonomic office chairs, tried and tested for a better WFH set-up
In my opinion, the aeron chair is still the number one ergonomic office chair. They redesigned the sector gear in the inner workings of the chair Because I called and complained about it about 1400 times. Right after 911They flew me up to Michigan To their factory So that I could get the pc of paper that says I’m rated to fix the aeron chair even though I had already been fixing it For about 15 years LOL. They sent a guy from our Virginia office with me so he could repair the chairs in Virginia when we got back. He got me thrown out of every bar in Michigan I tried to go in. At the end of the class they bring you a broken aeron And throw it down in front of you and say fix it. You’re being timed. I was the 1st 1 done In 15 minutes like I said, I could take that chair apart and put it back together in my sleep. Virginia failed lol. And yes just like John carter of mars I called him Virginia. The only thing he was focused on in that trip was trying to get laid. He didn’t.
There is no position as far as leaning back or a forward tilt That the aeron chair can’t do, it can do all of those things. Also every part on that chair is replaceable, and it comes with the lifetime warranty. I repaired so many of them up and down the east coast I see them in my sleep sometimes.
When I was flinging furniture the aeron chair was $1,000 chair. But like I said it comes with a lifetime warranty. Anytime something breaks you call up a guy like me and he comes out and fixes it.
It’s far and away the most comfortable chair. The flex net seat and back let air flow to your back and your posterior regions. And like I said it can be set in any ergonomic position. Being the top repair guy on the east coast for Herman Miller Makes me a little biased. I’m completely serious though, its the best chair for the money.
And of course if you have any problems with it, give me a call. lol.
The lead maintenance tech for Herman was a big old burly biker guy named bob. He was the one I was incessantly calling about the sector gear and how it was breaking on every chair that they produced, literally every chair. They redesigned that sector gear. When I went up there for the class and we were saying our names for roll call And I said my name He stopped for a minute and repeated my name a few times and then said Washington DC, sector gear. I busted out laughing, Yeah that was me. Bob was a great guy.
Michigan was fun. I met a goth girl named Cinderella. That almost drove Virginia insane, lol.
i’ve completely stopped using a pillow when sleeping on my back (it’s nearby for when i roll to my side though i often don’t use it then either) and my back is feeling better and better
expect when i sit in crappy seats
like the ones in C’s car which while i didn’t think they were amazing before i just didn’t realize till recently that they’re not quite right shaped for good posture
there’s curvature that forces the top of my back to curl forward in a hunch somewhat and while it doesn’t hurt per se still in a 45 minute drive i can definitely feel it’s suboptimal

Great room idea in a mid-sized contemporary home with a light wood floor and a beige floor, white walls, and no fireplace.
