Yes, some dreams are definitely influenced by the day but a repetitive dream like yours def has a lot to say. You probably have traveled to other places in your sleep and yes past lives! That’s a whole other can of worms I would love to talk about but there is probably a reason you may be going back to that place.
Water is a symbol of healing but can also talk about overwhelming feelings that may still be influencing you in this life which may be why it’s at your feet but also everywhere you look. A building can symbolize a body (maybe yours) or another part of you that is forgotten or unexplored which is why it feels familiar but somewhere that you don’t recognize.
