i became friends with this dude in high school because he likes persona, so turns out he starts working where i work and today we had a conversation about persona 5 ships ((hes straight and not chronically online but still a really awesome dude, one of the only dudes i genuinely like talking to)) and he literally goes “but joker is straight”
so obviously we had an argument about this, me saying “did joker tell you hes straight himself?” and him going “the game only lets you romance women” and it lasted for like a good looong 5 minutes until he said at the end
“joker’s straight but if there was a romance ryuji route, i wouldve gone for that.” without me even MENTIONING pegoryu ((just that ryuji has said questionable things; ex: feeling free with akiren))
and i cheered because it felt like i won a war 💀

Well looks like they got me. I’m in akishinji hell. But as a pegoryu shipper I just coulsn’t release my babies into the wild, so now I’m shipping both and making a blog featuring both. It is mostly an Akishinji ( ShinjiAki) blog but Pegoryu will make it’s presence known here ( but mostly fron reblogs and such).
Now I know what you’re thinking
Why ship Pegoryu AND Akihshinji? Why ship both?

But they’re so different

Hmm, let’s see...
- We have seemingly quiet guy who likes to cook (who will absolutely wreck your shit if you piss him off)
- The weird pet he absolutely adores
- And a bratty zio user with too much energy hanging off him.
- They’re the best of friends and the original members of their group.
- Their flavor of romance is Friends to lovers.
Question…Which ship am I talking about? Pegoryu or Akishinji?

Granted this is just a few things they have a common there are many more. Yet at the same time they couldn’t be more different. And yet I enjoy it all the same
To a certain extent you could say this ship is a ‘proto pegoryu’ ( Like MakoJun, and some others). I can easily see the humble begginings of such greatness and well, I can see Ren and Ryuji in Shinjiro and Akihiko. They’re all they’re selves and are unique characters but…'when you know, you know’.
(Also with them associated with Moon and Star Arcanas in p3p this puts them as a dark light pairing like Ren and Ryuji who are respectively Twilight and Dawn (this post explains it) hence my Main blog is the pegoryu blog Citrine: Dawn and Twilight. Check it out if you’re interested)’

Time for another cozy pegoryu headcannon this time featuring Mona
Despite Morgana being Morgana, he still has to be washed and groomed like a regular cat. So Ren takes care of Mona’s needs very meticulously. He makes sure to clip those claw, and wash him. And even if Mona complains, he likes it.
Incidently though, Ryuji is the only other person allowed to groom Mona. So they go back and forth at times, but Mona trusts Ren and Ryuji equally. So washing Mona is a thing they north do together, and Ryuji is allowed to brush his fur. They both take care of the little furball.
So when they move in together, Morgana doesn’t mind it one bit. The three of them are a happy family
