Who’s Going to Lead Hip-Hop’s Next Generation? Vote Now on Spotify — Spotify
Spotify list of hip hop leader is so bad, for the most part. 8 think they are going based off streams and nothing else, which giving that what people do on Spotify I kinda get it.
i figure I’d give my list of who should be here, but first I would keep Doechii and baby keem from the list.
For who I would add one would definitely be redveil, who is not just a rapper but producer who jazzy sound combined with thoughtful lyrics are something that makes him a good candidate.
Redveil is the one I have the most to say about as he is who I thought of first for this list so for some other rappers that should be on this.
1 little simz 2 ghais guevara 3 stove god cooks 4 Dave 5 teezo touchdown
Including baby keem Doechii and redveil, these 8 are my picks for the new leaders of hip-hop

The 1990s marked a defining chapter in hip-hop history in what Ime Ekpo terms the “‘90s Phenomenon,” as rap’s Golden Era transitioned into grittier gangster and mafioso aesthetics. During this period, many artists were immersed in “Knowledge of Self,” a philosophy rooted in Black self-consciousness and significantly influenced by the Five Percent Nation alongside other Black movements in America.
The AfroDiaspora Colloquium invites you to a Black History Month conversation with myself and Smif-N-Wessun examining the philosophical foundation of the “Knowledge of Self” ideology.
