Man its dark outside

The rain fell and the rain fell and the rain fell. No matter how many showers rolled in, no one took heed of them. It was just rain. It came and went with the whims of nature. That was what everyone told themselves—even the rainclouds.
Steadily, the rain grew more frequent. Louder. Until it became a thunderstorm. But as always, the people stayed inside, shut their windows, and paid it no further mind. Surely it would pass. It always did. The louder the thunder crashed and the wind blew, the more people tuned it out.
One day, the rainclouds gained the strength to tear off roofs, flood towns, and topple cars like toys. Only then did people ask about the rainclouds. How could something gentle and life-giving destroy so utterly?
But that was the problem with rainclouds.
All they knew how to do was be rainclouds.
They didn’t know anything else.

Because rain clouds are known to be much darker than other clouds. But, is this really true? Let’s briefly sit in the plane and look down at a thick cloud cover. Underneath, it can storm, snow or rain: through the small window high up in the sky, the clouds during the day, of course, are always bright and white.

Broad River Fishing Pier
Rain moving in over the Broad River
The pier full of fisher people cleared quickly as the wind and rain approached. Lucky for us it came and went fast.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying the sites of coastal Georgia and South Carolina.
