Yes, I’ve thought about your message, and want to express my disagreement with the idea that sin creates emptiness.
For me, mortal life is a test before eternal life. The emptiness inside is part of human trials. And sin is a relatively easy way to fill that emptiness. That’s why it’s so tempting. But it turns out to be temporary and doesn’t solve the problem. A person has will and has choice. And how someone fills that emptiness is a matter between them and God, if we speak only about the soul.
One can talk about sin, goodness, and choice endlessly. These topics are much deeper than what either of us has written. And to be honest: I come from a place where religion is often turned into marketing and its meaning is replaced by convenient formulas. That’s why such preachy messages irritate me.
I respect people’s faith, but I don’t wish to continue this topic. Please respect my boundaries as well.

Ye! Traditionally vampires can only drink blood and since they’re undead, they don’t need to eat food anymore. But I kind of changed that for my vampires.
My vampires are still living creatures, their vampirism is just more of a curse so they can still eat fruits, vegetables and fish but meat itself isn’t compatible with their bodies anymore.
Their body actively rejects it, which means they’ll always vomit it back up soon after they eat it.

I’ve thought about this before but the answer always eluded me. Cuz Aerrow strikes me as the kind of person that *likes* certain things but nothing stands out as his favorite. But then I thought, he really enjoys ice cream so I think he’d say that’s his favorite food.

On fic writing, I want to, but I’ve never written more than a chapter or two before for fandom. It most likely would be very much a oneshot collection (that would not be concrete to the au canon) for Connecting Halves until I get enough to stitch a proper story with from the fragment. Then again, Ace was able to pass things onto Eclipse before becoming a vampire, hence why they have similar markings.
So, I guess, wolf forms are kind of “baked in” to every individual. Even as a human, Ace’s wolf form was already predetermined. Vampirism takes from the person’s genes and makes the wolf form based off that. Which is why he has black fur and not like, blue for example.
So in summary, despite being human, Lightning’s genes still kind of showed up in the kids, just manifesting in their wolf forms. Except for his freckles, I’ve given him those in my canon so those show up on Sora regardless of what form she’s in.

i totally agree, this is a great way to handle it. i think this is also canon compliant, and has a decent argument for actually being canon to some extent! for what that’s worth given most play is in semi-canon settings.
there’s a lot you can do with this kind of thing. for example, you can have a plot where an unusual impression occurs because the impressee sincerely believes it to be possible – a strong signal overriding the background signal. or you can have different weyrs believe different things, different cultures leading yo different impression stereotypes or schema.
it also explains how they can talk at like, one minute old. and how they know the right name ending lmao.
