“He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:2
Have you ever noticed how a gardener tends to their plants, carefully snipping away even the flourishing branches? This act of pruning is not an indication of failure, but rather a commitment to future growth. Just as a vinedresser skillfully…
Soon this beautifully fan trained Malus domestica ‘Laxton’s Fortune’ (apple) will be covered in pale pink flowers. This dessert apple was developed by the Laxton Brothers Nursery, Bedford, UK, and released in 1904. It has been described as a useful substitute for Malus ‘Cox’s Orange Pippin’ (one of its parents), having some of that aromatic flavour and being but much easier to grow. This variety will even set a light crops even if there are no pollination partners nearby, but cropping will be better with another variety to cross-pollinate the blossom.
Please do tell me how to recover from promised art not done.
From abrupt ending friendship.
From becoming less than others in their eyes, from the put-offs and excuses I didn’t ask for.

From the loss of sweet chats which showed deep mutual understanding.
From having gotten used to being valued by someone who isn’t me but was so wonderfully not.
From seeing someone who couldn’t spare time to keep a promise frolic and create for a new bunch of friends who are undoubtedly deserving and delightful.
From seeing the new enthusiasms acknowledged in public with the same words once used in private for me.
From actually understanding because I get it. It is just how things go, how people can be. How this stranger friend needs to be and couldn’t bring themselves to say clearly.
Please tell me how to recover from understanding why they had to prune me from their life.
It’s not so much the abrupt end. It’s not so much the twist in my gut when I think of something I’d usually share with them.
It’s understanding.
I hate it.
Please tell me how I recover from knowing they had to go. From knowing they were leaving before they even started.
Please tell me how to recover from another human being being human.

In the Barn Garden of Great Dixter, Sussex, UK, the Ficus carica ‘Brunswick’ (fig) is trained flat against the tall barn wall every winter. It is just about to come into leaf which will hide the beautiful graphic lines of the pruned grey stems.
The bonsai tree in the attractive pot could have grown eighty feet tall on the side of a mountain till split by lightning. But a gardener carefully pruned it. It is nine inches high. Every day as he whittles back the branches the gardener croons, It is your nature to be small and cozy, domestic and weak; how lucky, little tree, to have a pot to grow in. With living creatures one must begin very early to dwarf their growth: the bound feet, the crippled brain, the hair in curlers, the hands you love to touch.
The trees which are pruned watered and nurtured by caring hands bear the greatest fruits; it is the same with people. — Bryant McGill, New Exclusive Content >> https://SimpleReminders.com
