Finals assessments for the first half of second term are done. Papers are all collected, pictures and jokes were shared, and a gorgeous moderoid kit arrived. I waited almost a year for this beauty. Just look at it. Unfortunately, into the backlog they go since I still have papers to grade, and artworks to appreciate.

Assessments are rolled out, submissions are next week and I have prepared for face to face assessments this week so I have sunday as free time. Free time means build time. Finally got to work on this weird, moebius zero lookalike. Maneuver striker pack for MG Eclipse Gundam, another PBandai. The build is a little underwhelming and repetitive but it looks insane on the Eclipse. Definitely makes it more like a Seed suit, with all its pointy bits. I dunno. Someone pointed out that older gundam designs are just the suit and some backpack, or cool looking weapons while Seed suits are the ones with enormous backpacks with wings and boosters and cannons all over. Slightly true, or maybe not. But one thing for sure is it looks awesome.

My sleep schedule is messed up since New Year’s eve and I couldn’t sleep last night so I decided to bust this backlog kit and build it. And before I know it, it’s already morning. Ih well. It’s a fun kit all the same. Now, the only Amaim kit I have in my backlog is the Reiki Kai. I’ll probably work on it next week. We’ll see.

I got this last October on a whim and because I also want some Gundam X kits lately. They’re incredibly difficult to get these days. I wonder why. Here’s what I spent my New Year’s eve, HGAW GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster. I remember I used to have the old 1/144 non grade kit. HGs were mostly UC kits and 1/100 kits those days. Still a great design. The transformation is kinda lazy but it does look like a fighter plane in mobile armor mode. I went ahead and panel lined it while it was still in its runners and I guess I did a bad job. I’ll probably fix it sometime soon. I’ll probably add some detail paints as well. Ok, time to explore Teyvat.

Unboxing MS General SIN-01 Gluttony from their Seven Deadly Sin series and this thing is nuts. Basically, you get the Gluttony kit, her “pet” which is a jackal headed mecha called Armed Display, and a throne with LED installation needed. It also has clear parts for the Armed Display, although I think that’s a first print exclusive or something. I’m not so sure. I’m fairly excited for this kit since it’s my first girlpla or galpla(term coined by plastic model youtubers, umbrella term for girl plastic models including Megami Device, 30MM sisters, and other brands and lines). I intend to collect the seven of course. And if you want to get yours, you can preorder at @goodygooddealsandtoys, they have an ongoing preorder though I’m not sure when the ETAis. Ok, that’s it.
