The presence of Hero and Villain type cards in the new mtg set retroactively implies that every previous creature in the history of magic the gathering was morally neutral enough to not fall into either category. Either that, or all the new villains are so indescribably evil that they make the phyrexian invasion of the multiverse look like a minor oopsie. what the fuck did Fleem do? he’s just a little guy.

That visceral body horror writing style would’ve worked so well for New Phyrexia. Hell, bring back some of the authors for old Phyrexia to do it even. I so badly wish the praetors and co. had actual story roles and dialogue. AND POV SECTIONS.
