Middle of the night, after the show.
It was good. Lots of people came. But i was not having the best ‘use your words’ day, and trying to do charades for ‘current threat of eroding biodiversity’ was the sign post I needed to know that live steaming was not on the cards for the day.
The feedback was all very positive. For years, I’d get that awkward people trying to be polite but not really knowing what to say, look. But I used to paint crime scenes and brain MRI’s & some of my nightmares both in slumber and real.
The best bit was the quiet before. The sitting and looking at all these big beautiful women I’d created over the last 6 months. The other 2 walls of work in progress. (One is waiting for the 3rd on the series to be done & the other 3 I need to add the AR element).
A couple Times i had to leave. Too many people, too much noise & I just couldn’t. But I put snacks out & people just got in with it.
Got chance to meet some very cool & talented & lovely artists. So, yeah. All good. But so looking forward to having super quiet closed door for a little while, unless you want to pop by for a cup of tea…
Another best bit. My teenage box hung thé show. He followed my graphic math, got up a ladder with the tools & was just super duper about it. The same little boy that used to sit and try to teach me to paint rainbows many a year ago.
