MSBY 4 regularly go out together and end up committing the kind of shenanigans that would be accompanied by a laugh track in a sitcom. Kageyama, Ushijima, and Hoshiumi go out to dinner one time and it somehow ends with Hoshiumi attempting to breathe underwater using reeds looney-tunes style while hiding from the cops while Kageyama and Ushijima are in the midst of a rooftop chase.

just thinking about atsumu and hinata going on jobs together. kiyoomi and atsumu not really liking each other but still having some sort of romantic tension going on. bokuto always off doing side quests.

msby four flat has mandatory movie nights every week which everyone is down for except sakusa but atsumu blackmails him into joining just because he likes to see sakusa uncomfortable so sakusa sits on the single couch wanting nothing more than the floor to swallow him while atsumu holds back laughter and hinata and bokuto are just having fun spending time with everyone

(it took me about five minutes to remember who SA were because I completely forgot that the Adlers are the Schweiden Adlers. anyway)

• ushijima has been assigned as hoshiumi’s bodyguard to prevent hoshiumi from starting fights
• sakusa decorates his hand sanitizers with cute stickers
• hinata doodles on his shoes
• all glass doors in the msby gym have huge posters on them so bokuto doesn’t walk into them by mistake
• kageyama won’t drink water, only lemon water
• meian has taken to bribing his team with cookies like “if you manage another five minutes of quiet, you can have a cookie”
• hinata has been banned from staying after hours because he broke a window while being too enthusiastic
• (Fukuro) Hirugami was Hoshiumi’s gay awakening and Hoshiumi will never let him forget it
• atsumu starts a fight with every sheep he sees
• ushijima went vegan for a bit and wouldn’t shut up about the virtues of lentils
• kageyama thought he was going to “catch veganism” and so refused to work with ushijima during the vegan phase
• sakusa has a dedicated breakdown corner that atsumu helpfully decorated with cat memes
• hinata and atsumu made an msby banner that they hang above the adlers’ changing rooms whenever they play against each other
• hoshiumi blames msby for every minor inconvenience he experiences

I think atsumu and hinata love taking naps after games, so they get back to the hotel and immediately fall asleep in the same bed. it’s usually whoever has the closest room if they’re not already rooming together. sometimes they cuddle, sometimes they just lay in the same bed.

sometimes bokuto ends up joining after particularly long games, exhaustion kicking in before he can think to do anything. of course, he calls his boyfriend really quick to tell him how the game ended (akaashi was watching the whole time) and a quick goodnight. bokuto likes to shove his way between them, being the big spoon for hinata and the little spoon for atsumu.

it’s rare that sakusa joins them. he already hates hotels and likes his own space. but he will join their room often, doing his own thing on the other bed. on the rare occasion he will join, he squeezes himself on the outside edge, a still sleeper and a light sleeper. so if he wants to move, he can easily leave and sleep on the other bed. sometimes, he ends up with atsumu’s arms around him or bokuto crushing him.

⨳ATSUMU had left his phone on the counter face up. you weren’t planning on peaking at it until he got a notification and his phone screen flashed in. you glanced it at from the corner of your eye. at first, you didn’t fully process what the photo was then you reached for the phone and turned it on. it was a photo of you. the day the two of you went to a fair. you were laughing and pointing at something when he took the photo, this was your first time seeing it. “babe, have ya seen my phone?” atsumu asked as he entered the kitchen. he stopped in his tracks when he saw you smiling at him with your phone in hand. “why have you never shown me this photo?” you asked. “i look so good.” a chuckle escaped the setter’s throat as he approached you with his hand out for his phone. “you always look good.” he grinned sending you a wink.

⨳BOKUTO showed you it when you asked why he was smiling at his phone so much. every single time he picked up his phone he spent at least thirty seconds staring at it with a huge grin on his face. it was a photo of you asleep on his chest with your mouth slightly open. your face scrunched up in disgust as you turn to your boyfriend. “really ko?” he had an offended look on his face as he pulled the phone back into his arms. “i think you look amazing!” you couldn’t help but smile, arguing with him would be pointless. he continued to talk about the photo for five minutes.

⨳HINATA and you had matching lock screens, you had opposite halves of the same photo. it was a picture the two of you took when you went to disney world. (photo creds to bokuto). you were wearing matching MSBY jerseys, obviously shoyo’s and mickey mouse ears. the two of you had huge grins on your faces and your arms around each other in front of the cinderella castle. you two enjoy showing off the matching lock screens to your friends.

⨳SAKUSA showed you his right after he took it. it was a photo of you that morning, next to him on the couch, hair a mess, and eyes barely open. he took it with a faint smile on his face before deciding to show you. “look,” he said tapping your leg to get your attention as he held his phone out toward you. your eyes immediately widened at the sight of the photo. “kiyoomi! seriously!?” you whined dramatically. “what? you look great.” he said cooly as if he didn’t know what you were thinking. “I’m gonna make it my lock screen.” he stated as he began to set it. “please don’t let anyone have your phone!” you begged. he scoffed and turned to you briefly. “do you hear yourself? you have nothing to worry about.” he said reassuringly.

• He will not come near you until you warm yourself up.
• Will squeal like Peppa Pig at a slaughterhouse if you touch him with your cold hands.
• If you even hold out your hands towards him, he claims he can feel the cold from them and shivers like a dramatic bitch.
• He will hug you but only if you’re wrapped up in a blanket and none of your fingers touch him or else he’s out of there.
• He likes cuddles when he comes back from practice during the colder days so you better be waiting with blankets and hot chocolate for the man child. AND WARM HANDS!!

Sakusa Kiyoomi

• His hands are cold as fuck too. So it doesn’t affect him at all. In fact he’s more grossed out at the fact you haven’t washed your hands before touching him.
• Scrub those paws before touching this man or else he might just faint.
• He secretly likes hugs but he has to be the one to do the hugging. Hates hates hates being hugged.
• He likes smelling you during the cuddles because he’s weird like that.

Bokuto Koutaro

• He doesn’t like the cold feeling of your fingers but he’ll hold your hands and blow on them until you’re all warm.
• Basically he’s just prepping you for warm and comfy cuddles instead of the cold ones he hates.
• He likes to have pre-cuddles cuddles which is him just basically carrying you everywhere, gathering snacks and cushions before making a blanket fort and cuddling while watching a movie.
• If you ever just sneak up on him with your cold touch, he might cry. Dramatic like atsumu but it’s acceptable because he’s jussa a babeh 🥺

Ya boy Hinata Shoyo

• He is indifferent to the cold touch. He feels it but he won’t freak out about it.
• Instead he will grab his hoodie and make you wear it. He refers to this as defrosting his chicken, you being the chicken.
• Will jump on you from behind and envelop you in a bear hug in an attempt to “speed up the process” because he’s “hungry for nuggets” aka wants to be babied
• He’s basically just a clingy toddler that’s just been on a sugar rush. But when he calms down, he likes to be held over actually doing the hugging.

I’m not entirely informed about the MSBY team but I’ll try as many as I can. I can definitely do the MSBY Four.

Miya Atsumu

Atsumu is a crybaby and a fucking wimp when it comes to injections but, with that being said, he’s also the biggest arse about you getting nervous about them. This man knows what you’re feeling but chooses to tease you for it instead. “Come on y/n it’s just a little poke and then it’s over. Honestly such a little a baby” like mofo you screamed and fainted every time you went for the vaccination 🙄. He’ll also use it as an excuse to brag about how he’s so strong and heroic, how he’ll protect you and hold you in his “very muscly” arms. He feels a little guilty when you turn your face into his chest so he leans down and whispers “you’re alright” over and over in your ear until you relax.

Sakusa Kiyoomi

This man just does not understand your anxiousness about it. He’s the type to drag you there and hold you down in the chair, just wrestling you. “QUICKLY! I can’t hold them for long. Give them the damn injection so I can leave!” Afterwards he’ll apologise for it and say he did what needed to be done. He’d treat you to an ice cream as a reward for getting it done. Also he would wipe the area and put a new plaster on for you.

Bokuto Koutarou

Bokuto will cry and freak out with you and then rush to Akaashi for advice on how to help you because Akaashi is the smartest person he knows. He’ll do everything and anything he finds out in relation to helping you out, no matter how crazy. He makes you lie on the floor with your legs up against the wall. He tells you to imagine screaming at a giant needle that you’re not scared of it and then fight it. When the time comes, he’ll hold your hand but he keeps his eyes tightly closed because he’s just as scared of needles as you are.

Ya boy Hinata Shoyo

He’s not scared of needles and is a whole arse menace. He’ll sit there and ask the nurse all sort of questions. “Wow is that the biggest needle you have? What if your hand accidentally slips and you end up stabbing it in the wrong place?” He just makes the situation a hundred times more stressful and when he sees your face has lost all colour, he’ll just giggle and say “oops just forget what I said”. He’ll let you hold his hand and with the other one he’ll cover your eyes because “if you can’t see it you’ll never know it happened”.

it’s been said so many times before but i love caring atsumu. atsumu who does not know how to tell people that he cares about them because growing up with osamu, they never needed words. who carries around hand sanitizer and wipes for omi, will drop everything to comfort bokuto in a rare emo mode, watches beach volleyball videos with hinata and compares tactics.

who checks in with all his teammates daily, but in his own way, poking and prodding at his friends and being equal parts annoying and endearing in the way only he can. who facetimes suna weekly, even if suna is just going to make fun of him the whole time. who semi-regularly makes the drive back to amagasaki to help his mom around the house.

atsumu’s not very good with his words, but his actions speak so loudly they drown out any uncertainty.
