While I was walking outside, I was thinking about how Anya would praise Jimmy by saying things like “you’re so capable” and “wow you’re amazing”( I can’t remember exactly what she said when Jimmy chopped down the foam, but it was something like that) cause she figured out that he likes to be praised( Jimmy has a praise kink=confirmed by me). But you can tell Jimmy isnt happy with her fake kind words.
That’s cause he wants it to be genuine. Just like how the crew praise Curly for being a great captain and they’re telling the truth and not exaggerating, he wants the same thing.
Because it’s obvious she’s putting on an act out of fear and because she wants to keep him calm, what Anya’s praise doesn’t put him in a happier mood. Actually, I think it irritates him more cause he’s being reminded that he’s not as good as Curly.
This leads to him deciding to yell at her or insult her because it’s easier to make someone feel so miserable that they want to mash their head into a wall til it explodes than to figure out how to love yourself. And making Anya feel bad about herself makes him feel better about himself…for a few seconds and that feeling goes away fast.
Also, I want to bring up how sad it is that Anya decided to praise Jimmy for chopping down the foam because she wanted to ask him to give Curly his pills. She knew he might get irritated with her asking him to do something immediately after he finished his task. So she hoped praising him like he’d done the greatest thing known to man would prevent him from getting angry. Unfortunately it didn’t work at all.
I can imagine it sometimes works because some days, she sounds more genuine which puts him in a happier mood. For a little bit considering the horrible situation they’re in and the fact that Jimmy is seeing things like a terrifying violent Polle horse creature in the cargo hold and he has to use the creature’s blindness to sneak past it.
But it makes sure she’s having a hard time appearing genuine with her compliments because she’s terrified of him, which makes her compliments sound too forced and too fake.
The thing is, if Jimmy wasnt so shitty to her, she would probably compliment him and not be lying or exaggerating. Daisuke genuinely respects and likes Jimmy because he doesn’t know about the bad things Jimmy has done.
Side note: I think Daisuke died still thinking Jimmy is completely normal guy. he would think Jimmy just made a mistake by telling him to go up in the vents and pouring mouthwash on his wounds. Also because he appears to blame himself. Daisuke knows nothing and was never told about Jimmy’s crimes so he’s the only one who wouldn’t resent him. Curly, Swansea, and Anya seen his worst side but Daisuke is the only one who never did. Unlike Swansea and Anya who I think figured out that Jimmy is the one who crashed the ship, Daisuke died still believing Curly crashed the ship.
Back to the main point: i think Anya possibly respected Jimmy because he was able to become a pilot, which is genuinely very impressive. But then he did things to her, started being verbally and emotionally abusive to her, and started being difficult during psych evaluations, so her view of him changed. So Jimmy made things worser for himself, which is what all he’s been doing throughout the entire game

Leaving a party is always complicated; first, you have to listen to your friends insisting it’s too early to leave, then the endless goodbyes, and before you know it, you’re back in the middle of the party and the plan to leave disappears for the next few hours.
Luckily, Daisuke and Robin managed to leave the party quietly, without anyone noticing their sudden absence, and that was for the best. No questions, no insistence; they knew they shouldn’t cross their line. They were already dizzy enough not to even think about continuing without making fools of themselves. At this hour, Robin wanted nothing more than to lie down and sleep and regret her decisions when she woke up in the morning.
At this hour, they had no other option but to walk back home. Unfortunately, something bad had to happen, and among so many people, the money Daisuke was keeping in his pocket disappeared. Without knowing where or how, the money simply vanished. Now they had to walk, and it wouldn’t be so bad if their feet weren’t tripping every three steps. The truly bad thing would be arriving home at this hour and looking like that. Robin never considered herself a good liar. Her mother wasn’t stupid either; her mother would kill her the moment she set foot in the front door.
“Where are we going?” Daisuke asked, turning his head to look at her. They were walking without any apparent destination. Robin looked up from the floor to find his eyes on her.
“To your house, of course.” she replied casually. Daisuke nodded as if he had already expected that answer from her; with the time they had known each other, it was no longer strange for them to stay at each other’s houses, whether to hang out or to stay overnight.
“And you’re not going to call your mom?”
“No, I told her I’d sleep at your house.” Robin shrugged, turning her gaze back to the front.
“Ah! Are you going to take up space in my bed again?” He asked, raising an eyebrow; he even sounded amused by it.
“I thought you liked me sleeping at your house.”
“You know I love it when you stay over.” Daisuke replied, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye, as if he were hoping to see some reaction from her. Seeing the small smile that appeared on his friend’s face felt like a victory to him.
Arriving and entering through the window was the easiest part of all this; the complicated part was always leaving in the morning trying to make as little noise as possible, in secret, so that Daisuke’s parents wouldn’t always know that she had spent the night at their house.
Being the first to enter the room, she automatically walked towards the bed, sitting down to relieve the pain that was beginning to bother her legs. Shortly after, Daisuke sat next to her to take off his shoes and throw them into some corner of his messy room.
“I’m so tired.” Daisuke admits between a yawn, with an extra effort he managed to stretch his arms and head and when he was satisfied he let himself fall back onto the mattress.
“Me too.” Robin huffed heavily, taking off his shoes as if it were a truly difficult task. “Are you going to change?”
“No, will you?”
“No.” Robin shook her head as she lay down next to Daisuke.
“Umh.” Daisuke sighed as he stretched his arms over his eyes to momentarily rest his vision; after so many lights and so much noise from the party, returning to his dark and quiet space felt like a relief.
Silence fell upon them both; neither dared to utter another word, perhaps assuming that the other had already fallen asleep. The truth was that neither could sleep, no matter how tired they felt; neither could fall asleep. It was as if sleep were suddenly not as necessary as they had thought.
As if the silence were starting to bother her, Robin began to shift uncomfortably in bed, searching for a somewhat comfortable position to rest. At the movement, Daisuke raised his arm from his face to look at her with silent curiosity. After a minute of struggling and finding no solution, Robin sat down on the bed with clear annoyance.
“Are you okay?” he asked, with a slight tone of concern in his voice.
“Mmm, yeah, everything’s fine.” Robin replied, running her hand through her already disheveled hair, awkwardly trying to fix it.
“Are you sure? You’re not used to drinking, I don’t want you to feel sick and throw up here.” He said jokingly, sitting back down next to her and placing a hand on her back as if trying to comfort her.
“I’m fine, I just couldn’t sleep.” Robin moved her head, resting it on Daisuke’s shoulder.
“Okay… fine, if you say so.” He replies, not very convinced by her answer, but Daisuke decides it’s best not to insist any further, so he lets his head fall onto Robin’s, who is silently staring at some interesting point in the room.
“Hey?” Daisuke speaks again after a silence, catching Robin’s attention. She moves to look at him. “Thanks for coming with me… I know parties aren’t really your thing.”
“Oh, yeah, sure, no problem.” Robin replied with a smile. “I had a lot of fun.”
“Really?” he asked excitedly, even pulling away with the sole intention of looking her in the face with a huge grin.
He knew Robin was the type of person who preferred to spend her afternoons in the comfort of her room rather than go out to a place full of people and noise, so seeing her admit that she enjoyed being at the party this time made him feel strangely happy.
“Yeah, it wasn’t so bad.” Robin admitted, shrugging with a smile. Maybe having a few drinks made her relax more than she usually allowed herself to; she felt good.
“That’s great man! I’ll take you to more parties now.” Daisuke smiled excitedly, mentally imagining planning their next outings together. Where would he take her next time? What would he wear this time? He had a lot to plan.
Robin smiled with the same enthusiasm; it was really nice to see him so excited about something that included her. It was always pleasant to spend time with him no matter what they did; she enjoyed it more than she could admit in words.
“I’ll take you to another party next week.” Daisuke says happily, putting his arm around Robin’s shoulder; she just nodded with amusement.
“Alright.”
After that, they remained silent, gazing into each other’s eyes for longer than could be considered “normal.” Suddenly, the air felt heavy, as if nothing else existed in the world but the sound of their breathing. They were starting to get nervous. It wasn’t the first time this had happened; it had happened at the party, Robin could have sworn it happened a week ago, and Daisuke confidently asserted that they’d been carrying this tension for months, a tension they didn’t dare mention. When did this start happening to them?
“You’re looking at me funny” Robin murmured, breaking the tension that had formed between them.
“Huh??” He snorted mockingly, as if the comment had deeply offended him, continuing the act by looking away, though that didn’t work because his eyes kept returning to Robin to see that faint smile on her face. “You’re the one who was giving me that funny look.”
“Me?” Robin asks curiously, leaning slightly towards him as if she could find an answer if she got close enough.
Daisuke swallowed nervously, as if this approach was really starting to make him nervous, and awkwardly managed to nod his head. Robin knew how to make him nervous, even if half the time she didn’t do it on purpose, but unlike those other times, this time it felt different.
Daisuke’s eyes closed tightly as Robin’s cold hand touched his face, her thumb caressing the mole that adorned his cheek. To him, it was as if Robin were mocking him, as if making him nervous and making a reaction from him was pure entertainment for her.
“Daisuke.”
Robin’s voice snapped him out of his daze. The boy fearfully opened his eyes to see her. The sight was different from what he had been imagining the last few seconds. In his mind, he had pictured a mocking Robin, but instead he found the complete opposite: a soft, curious, worried… loving gaze.
That look was enough to make his heart start pounding, his breath becoming more ragged with each passing second. He tried his best to avoid her eyes; he couldn’t take it anymore. He wasn’t as strong as he pretended. He needed to tell her, he needed to be completely honest, or else she might explore her feelings, and he wasn’t even exaggerating. He had tried many times before, many failed attempts over the past few months, but he had never succeeded because his fear was greater than his desire to tell her. But being here, he needed to get it off his chest right now, or he would die in her hands at that very moment.
“¿Robin?”
“Yeah?”
“I can- I want to…” The volume of his voice gradually decreased as he spoke, and feeling unable to say anything more, his eyes landed on Robin’s lips only to rise back up to hers. In that moment, he wished Robin could read his mind so he wouldn’t have to say it aloud, that she would understand him without him needing words.
He would never know if Robin managed to understand what he was trying to tell her just with his eyes, that hesitant longing he felt throughout his being, that desperate desire to hug her and never let her go again.
For a long moment they both remained in complete silence, staring at each other with overwhelming intensity; for Daisuke it was as if Robin would try memorizing every detail on his face, no matter how small, as if it wasn’t something Robin had seen every day for as long as they could remember.
Robin’s approach took him by surprise; he even closed his eyes waiting for the contact of her lips. Unfortunately, the contact didn’t happen. Instead, Robin’s lips found their place on his face, right on the mole under his left eye. Although it wasn’t what he had hoped for, he wasn’t disappointed; on the contrary, he ended up blushing to his ears.
“That shouldn’t go there, you know?” Daisuke murmured with a little shyness as Robin walked away. The comment made her laugh a little before she shook her head slightly.
“Can I try again?” Robin asks in a low voice, a small smile crept onto Daisuke’s face, and he enthusiastically nods his head.
Turning the bed so she could face him, Robin leaned towards him, the hand that was resting on his cheek didn’t move away, it just adjusted itself to gently caress his face and with one last look she began to lean in to close the distance between them, joining their lips in a kiss.
Her lips were soft, pleasant to the touch. This was everything Daisuke had longed for and more; he could die after just that one kiss, and he felt completely blissful for this clumsy kiss. Being able to kiss her finally made up for lost time.
The kiss changed intensity not long after; what had begun casually transformed into a desperate kiss, one in which they were forced to separate to catch their breath. Their breathing ragged, they pressed their foreheads together, seeking a momentary respite before continuing. Feeling a little more emboldened, Daisuke shifted his weight onto hers, causing her to fall backward onto the mattress. He then positioned himself over her to kiss her again with the same intensity as before.
“I like you.” Daisuke murmured breathlessly between kisses, though the new desire to kiss her relentlessly consumed his confused mind. He knew he needed to say it with words; he had to confess the mess of feelings she had been causing him for some time.
“You make me happy- I always feel so good when I’m with you, I love you, I know I do.”
Robin was speechless, as if even after those couple of kisses she couldn’t quite grasp his words; it could be the alcohol’s fault, but she preferred to excuse herself by saying that she was simply taking the time to understand the new path they would both have after tonight.
After what seemed like an eternity, a slow smile spread across Robin’s lips. She stretched out her arms until her hands found a place on Daisuke’s neck, pulling him in for another kiss, one in which Daisuke completely melted. Daisuke’s hands, which had been resting uncomfortably at Robin’s sides, moved to explore excitedly inside her shirt. The unexpected touch made her jump; a gasp escaped from her lips when she felt that small touch, a sound that startled Daisuke, who abruptly broke away from the kiss. They knew they couldn’t afford to continue down this path, not tonight at least. There was no need to go to such extremes; they both needed something better than doing it on a night after a party and a drunken stupor.
She remained silent, looking at him with a slight blush on her face, before looking away a little embarrassed, pressing her lips together.
“Was it too much?” Daisuke asked gently, though without taking his hands off her. Robin rolled her eyes in feigned annoyance, a reaction that made Daisuke chuckle.
“You should warn me before you put your hand inside.” Robin scolded him with a smile on her face. In Daisuke’s eyes, she looked truly beautiful with that smile and her hair spread out on the pillow. Robin was so damn pretty in his eyes, and if they weren’t going any further tonight, he still needed something.
“I’m sorry then.” Daisuke replied with a gentle smile, this time moving closer to bury his face in the curve of her neck and shoulder, timidly leaving small kisses there.
“You… Did you tell the truth earlier?” Roin asked hesitantly, her hands going up to Daisuke’s hair, caressing and playing with his badly dyed strands.
Daisuke nodded slowly, pausing the trail of kisses he’d been tracing for a while to sit up slightly and look her in the face. “I told you the truth.”
“Are you saying this because you’re drunk?”
“I’m not drunk, we didn’t even drink that much.”
Robin snorted with amusement; that was a lie and they both knew it perfectly well. They had drunk more than they were used to. What he wasn’t lying about was the other thing; he could see it in the sincere and affectionate look she was giving him. As corny as that sounded, she trusted him.
“You’re drunk, Dai, you don’t know what you’re saying.”
“I know exactly what I’m saying!” Daisuke replied with a smile, sounding very confident in his words. “Even tomorrow, when we start complaining about the hangover, I’ll still feel the same way about you. In fact- I can tell you that again if necessary.”
“Would you do it?”
“Umh!” Daisuke nodded enthusiastically, like an excited puppy, a thought not far from the truth but one that made Robin smile foolishly. With a sigh, Robin sat up a little, stretching to hug him, a hug that Daisuke quickly returned tightly.
“I like you too, a lot.” Robin murmured against Daisuke’s ear, and at those words he smiled from ear to ear, burying his face in Robin’s shoulder.
“So… does that mean we’re- you know, a couple now?”
“Yeah, we’re a couple now.”
Daisuke smiled against Robin’s shoulder. The boy was bursting with joy. It hadn’t been so bad after all; he should have told her a long time ago, but it didn’t matter anymore. He had her with him now, and nothing else mattered. Filled with affection for her, he began to shower her cheek with small kisses, an act of affection that made Robin smile and laugh until her cheeks began to hurt.
“God… you took too long.” Robin murmured between giggles, something Daisuke managed to hear without any problem.
“Huh?” Daisuke looked at her in confusion. Robin shook her head playfully, letting herself fall back onto the mattress, taking Daisuke with her so they could lie down together.
Her comment wasn’t entirely serious because, after all, she was also to blame for the delay; she could have done it a long time ago, but like Daisuke, she never managed to find the courage to just do it.
“Did I take too long…? Ah! But you know what? Better late than never, right?” He responds quickly upon understanding the message, with that silly, even childlike smile, a smile that Robin began to love long ago, one that she will never tire of seeing.
“Yes, yes, whatever you say, Dai.” Robin stuck her tongue out at him, trying to tease him, but to her apparent misfortune, what she received instead was a soft and tender kiss on the forehead, one that made her close her eyes and a smile was born on her lips without her being able to control it, and when she opened her eyes to look at him, she returned the kiss in the same place, taking the moment to snuggle into the comfort and safety of her now boyfriend’s chest.
“I love you.”
“I love you too."
Curly is basically an older Daisuke. They’re both people-pleasers with low self esteem. They have golden retriever personalities, tho you instantly think of Curly being the golden retriever cause of his blond curly hair. They’re both kind and sweet guys and everyone likes them. They’re both two guys who are trying their best in life. They both like Jimmy.
Daisuke probably would’ve became like Curly if he got a chance to live up to his 30s( I think curly and Jimmy are in their 30s).
This means that everyone who doesn’t like Curly but loves Daisuke are accidentally hating on Daisuke. These people say Curly is horrible because he’s a people-pleaser and say he’s spineless ( it’s so gross how they say the word people pleaser like it’s a slur. May as well make fun of people for having anxiety. Fucking piece of shit assholes), because his friends with Jimmy and isnt able to stop him from doing horrible things, and for making mistakes. Daisuke has those same qualities. Daisuke died cause he listened to Jimmy. Curly wasnt able to stop Jimmy from crashing the ship cause Jimmy put him under too much stress, made him feel like a monster, and made him dissociate.
Below the break depicts canon-accurate gore, blood, and injury from Mouthwashing.

ALTWhere did I get that kind of motivation from and how can I get it again.
So I’m watching 3 guys and a woman react to the movie “Finding Nemo” and I realized that Gil convinces Nemo, a clownfish who’s a little boy, to do something very very obviously too dangerous is like Jimmy convincing Daisuke(he’s an adult but he’s a young adult who either 18, 19, or in his early 20s and he’s impressionable) to go in the vent.
Gil is Jimmy and Nemo is Daisuke. Gil’s scars and Jimmy has his lip scar. Nemo was so fucking close to being ripped to shreds. But Gil did take responsibility, unlike Jimmy, and apologize to Nemo and he realized that he did something very very fucked up.
Ok,,, maybe the demons are getting to me, but i really want to write a crackship fanfic of 2 sources that are so distant and barely connected,,, but i cant stop thinking about the soft fluffy and angst i could write,,,, (also is it still a crackship if im emotionally invested and would genuinelly sob for soft art of them,,,)
So to rip the bandaid off, its a mouthwashing × homestuck between gamzee and daisuke. I dont have all the bits all down but basically swansea (for some reason, maybe its jenifer that hands him the drink and swansea is like ‘haha no, i smell all the bs’) puts daisuke in the escape/freeze pod while he goes to 1v1 jennifer (cus maybe anya and curly are dead already who knows). And its like this tearly interaction of swansea being like, “ur a good kid, you gotta live and do better, be better then all of us” and in a moment of emotion and fatherly love (and realising that this will be the last timw that he sees his new son-) he ruffles his hair and kisses his forehead before closing it shut. Daisuke would bang on the doors, begging to be let out, only to get really tired and pass out… And only for the pod to crash in the backyard(or beach- i havent decided yet lol) of gamzee’s hive, silliness insert here. For added angst i would love it to be post crash out/sober gamzee but i feel like it would make more sense if he was pre sober gamzee,, yk? Like i can see gamzee showing him around his hive and gamz bringing daisuke around the others and being like “look at my new roomie :o3” And everyone (mostly karkat) being like “why”
And i hear both fandoms saying how nepeta and daisuke would be friends, and while i do agree,, I am still horrified lol
I dont think i would add sburb to the fic or make sburb into more of a dnd kind of thing and less a world-ending thing. Mostly cus its too much for my brain to process and write, esp when my goal is just to write silly boys from space falling in love and them both healing (and to justivify my plans for an ita bag of them bUT THATS NOT IMPORTANT-)
I will probs write it anyway, as well other characters in oneshots (i really want an anya and vriska fic,, OR Swansea meeting gamzee and being such a dad- again just for my enjoyment lol) but is anyone else hyped? Or this just a me thing? Lolol ok bye
Breaking the rules together ♡

This drawing is my pride and joy; I was truly happy drawing this 🥹

[ 🫧 . 🌺 ]

This was kinda fun actually;; thaks to @/samlagement for the idea!! 🦭
It’s fucking tragic that Daisuke died just because his parents basically forced their 19 to early 20s( so I’m assuming he would have to be 19 or older to be able to get the position considering it’s in SPACE) son to get a job that involves him being stuck with a group of people in space in a ship for months up to a year. And then Jimmy crashes the ship and convinces him to go up in the vents. So he died because other adults put him in a dangerous situation.
Unlike the rest of the crew who chose to work for Pony Express, Daisuke never wanted to work for the company. He only agreed to the internship to make his parents proud. Just like how he only went up in the vents to make Swansea and the others proud of him. He knew going up in the vents was a bad idea but because his superior told him to.
Of course, I don’t think his parents are evil nor did they intend for him to die. Just like Jimmy(who also didn’t want Daisuke to die, he just makes bad decisions under stress), they made a very very VERY stupid decision.
But just like with Jimmy, I wanna strangle the life out of his parents for sending him up in space lmao
Why couldn’t they sign him up for an internship on Earth? A nice safe internship where he’ll get some work experience. Were they drunk or stoned when they decided “UHHHHHH I HAVE A GREAT IDEA. Our son who just recently became an adult and who never had a job before should work up in space. Far far far away from civilization and he’ll be working with strangers in an iron box for months. Also he should work for a shady company that’s probably gonna go under real”. It’s as dumb as Jimmy thinking the clearly dangerous vents are safe to go in and Swansea not telling Daisuke to be wary of Jimmy
